what could I use to glue the door seal back in place on my van?
the rubber door seal was originally attached with nylon plugs that popped into holes in the door, but when the door froze shut and I yanked it open the seal cam off tearing the rubber aroung the plug things. I think some cars it's just glued in place, so I wonder what I could use to glue my seal back. It's an old vehicle, so don't really want to buy a new seal.

3M makes an adhesive that is made for trim and moldings. It works very well.
After you install the seal and let it dry, spray it with silicone spray to prevent it from freezing again.

3M black weatherstrip adhesive. It's available cheaply at auto parts stores, and is designed for the job you're trying to do.

You could use a silicone caulk of sorts. since its is the seal and not a moving part i dont think it matters alot. silicone remains pliant after it is dried though so u might want to try that. you can get it at any building supplies store.
