The idea of having criminals representing our country is a very bad idea... They lack dicipline obviously... there in prison.. I think the idea is bad, but I wont be a coward and make negative comments about your question like the others on this post... I mean, only a coward will make negative comments about someone on a website LOL.. they are the true idiots!

Regardless inmates have rights and if they can't function in everyday society how in the world do you expect to train them to fight in a war. Being a service member takes lots of discipline and training.

Being able to service in the military is an honor.

Considering that my husband is in Afghanistan right now, the prospect sounds wonderful at first. But, unfortunately I know better. They would just join the other side when they got there, or shoot each other as soon as they got a gun in their hand.

It would be nice to send someone worthless over there though instead of our husbands/wives and the father's/mother's of our children now wouldn't it.

Honestly, this war needs to just end. I spent 6 years in and just got out. I planned to retire, but I lost conviction in what we were doing anymore. Once you've been there and seen it with your own eyes then it's easier to understand. Which is a big reason why so many of our guys have decided to throw a career away and not re-enlist over the past few years. My husband is in the same boat. He's got 1 1/2 years left and he's done. It's hard to stay motivated when you lose faith in your purpose.

As a proud protection tension companion, I shall say this regardless of the undeniable fact that i do no longer choose to ever see my husband pass back to Iraq, its no longer so trouble-free as carry actual everyone abode now! we ought to consistently end what all of us started by way of fact if we don't we will in basic terms ought to pass back in some years later. actual everyone consintrates on the negatives no person ever mentions the beneficial issues that have long gone on. THere are people there that have been below harsh rule that are actually loose from a tirant. we are helping them build back up their own military and their land, setting up technologies which would be benificial to their destiny welfair. additionally we ought to consistently no longer ignore those we help could be waiting to grant us help at some point as quickly as we could choose it.

i would love for our men to stay home but an inmate is an inmate for a reason. you can't trust most of them. they could aid the enemy or any number of things like that. they can't be trusted.

  • That's just what we need to do! Put weapons in the hands of hardened criminals. You're a genius!

They would torture each other and screw each other and then they would torture any POW's and violate the geneva convention rules. They would be high on drugs and crash every piece of equipment we have.

You can't force people to go to war so its a non-starter
