Well, I think it depends upon just who is on that scale. Amongst stay-at-home 30 year old mothers with small children I am probably around a 15 since most women my age care more about Glee than what's going on in Washington. Amongst all Americans I might be closer to an 8. Amongst other political hacks I am probably closer to a 7.

As for where I get my information, almost entirely online. I don't really look to one source for news because I know that everyone has their own bias and their own agenda. Last night I was on Greenpeace's website, on PopulationConnection.com, some other really left wing sites. I go onto wikipedia.org for information although I note the sources and if they don't exist or if they seem questionable then I take them with a grain.

    I think for myself.

I do listen to talk radio a lot but I don't just believe everything that's said. It's mostly opinion anyway. I do think it's hilarious, though, because something will happen over the weekend and I will comment on it to my husband and come up with conclusions about it and then I will tune into Rush Limbaugh and he will be saying the same thing I said to my husband. Maybe it's the mind control satellites or something but we seem to think alike on many topics. Rarely does Kieth Olberman say what I'm thinking. lol

I don't generally look to the American Main Stream Media for news because it's like reading People Magazine. Worthless.

I take an Advanced Placement Government and Politics class at my highschool. We compete in a contstitutional compition in the state of washington called We The People. I would say that I am an 8.

  • Aside from my personal following of politics and mt self-education a personal friend is a Prof of Political Science at a pretty decent school and is interviewed and quoted during the NH Primaries by "news" agencies. 8

Politics is dog eat dog and filled with narcissistic personalities, who are very skilled at manipulating and lying to their "constituents" and care about nothing except lining their pockets..so knowing that, I reckon I'm a 5...60yrs. in the school of hard knocks..

  • 6 I'd say. I tend to get my information from debate, here, various news sources. I'd be lying if I claimed knew lots. I know a lot but not a lot. It's enough to help me manage through most debates. Make it 7. Guess that's more accurate.

Maybe 7 out of 10. I listen to pundits from both sides. But all you have to do is remember history.

11! I spend hours every day pouring over news, government, and organizations web sites. I read books by those in power to hear in their own words what they think, and I independently research all the information I see to verify its truthfulness.

    7 or 8.

Read books and newspapers, or more importantly, don't watch or listen to the myriad of polictical entertainers on TV - they're a huge problem when it comes to polarization of the country.

7- I try to stay up to date but really don't pay too much attention because it tends to bum me out(watching the news) I usually get it from word of mouth-the internet and cnn. Sometimes I watch Fox news for a few min because its kinda funny how crazy they are but normally it just pisses me off.

i must be a zero 0 because I think they are working together to make corporations rich in order to make themselves rich. so I think most would say I'm into conspiracy theories. But I still maintain that they are the conspiracy. that will bring the USA down, and level the world playing field. thanks.
