There's plenty of scopes out there to suit all budgets.

In my honest opinion a "budget" scope could ruin your day out. If you drove a Ferrari Enzo would you fit $10 remold tyres on it?

Your rifle deserves to be topped of with a scope that will give you crystal clarity and won't fog up. 600 yards is a fair distance to the target. No serious ethical hunter would consider a 600 yard live target shot.

Google: Leupold, Schmidt & Bender, Zeiss or a the very least Nikon.

Check out the Center Point scopes. For 70 dollars, at Wal-Mart, you get the scope, scope covers, mounts (weaver style mounts), turrent adjustment with locking rings for windage and elevation adjustment and illuminated crosshairs (red/green) for low light conditions.

I own one and have it on my Marlin XL7 25-06 and have compaired the clarity to Tasco, Bushnell, Simmons, Nikon and Charles Daily and you can't beat the clarity. My Center Point is 4-16 x 40 mm. I fired over 30 rounds through my rifle just to see how it would hold up to the recoil. I used it this deer season and had no issues at all. I zero'd it to 100 yards and just last week took a deer at that range with no issues. I was in rain, snow, cold and warm days during out two week buck season here in WV. The scope did not fog at all.

You will be surprised by the manufacture of the scope. Read about the company on the site.

I know people will talk about Leupold, Zarvaski (spelling), etc but check out this scope.
