Do you think I can ever get smoke smell out of wood? How?

Mix a weak solution of one part bleach to three parts water and wipe the wood down with a clean cloth. Be careful not to saturate the wood and wipe it dry with a clean soft cloth.

Step 2-- Place baking soda or fresh coffee grounds in a dish and set them in the drawer of wood furniture to help absorb odors.

Step 3-- Wipe down wood with a weak solution of ammonia and water. Use ¼ cup ammonia for a gallon of warm water. Wipe the wood dry with a soft clean cloth.

Step 4-- Set a cloth soaked in vinegar on a piece of plastic on or near the wood. The vinegar will help to eliminate the smell.

Step 5-- Take wood furniture and set it outside to air out. This works even better in conjunction with wiping it down with bleach or ammonia first. The fresh air will help to get rid of the odor.

There are products that are made to remove the smell, I've tried them all, most of them leave your clothes smelling like air freshener and smoke. The above was discovered by an accident. I'd stained one of my shirts and washed it with Vodka and wow the smoke was gone (so was the stain)!!

Oh god, I'm so stupid, lol. I was thinking clothes, not wood. Hmm..if it works for clothes maybe vinegar would work for wood. lol

i need more info for the correct answer but if uyou clean the wood with tsp /amonia/or another strong cleaner it should do it sometimes when renovating a house after a fire we rent ozone machines they can remove the odors i need to know is the woodpainted / stained or natural and how did it get smoked

Oh dear, that's tough without damaging the wood.

You might try Murphy's Oil soap and follow that up with lemon-scented Pledge or a comparable product.
