What if no one has it right?

Many people sit here day after day asking questions and trying to prove that their beliefs are right. Wouldn't it be funny if we died only to find that none of us had it right?

Update:

chicobaglover: You could be right. However, there's also the possibility that we came from one place and we're on a journey to a new place. No one really knows.

At that point, I don't think it would matter, do you? Just for my well being and those of others, I believe there really is a HIGHER POWER. Be he/her God, Allah, Budda, or whatever. I will continue to believe because I feel it is right for me to do so. It is better to live with HOPE, than NO HOPE at all. Merry CHRISTmas.

Yes it would be a riot. There is a strong possibility the only right ones are ignored because they have a tendency not to be controversial. Accepted, logical incontrovertible facts are seldom interesting. Theories of evolution receive recognition based on the ridiculousness of their claims for example not on relevance. It is quite possible no one is 100% correct. That is why the search continues. People who know it all are never interesting.

Yeah, I don't think that would be funny at all. You are assuming God got it wrong, too, when He gave us explicit directions for proper worship of Him, and how to live our lives in accordance with His will. Well, I say God did not get it wrong. You can trust Him, when you can't trust anyone else. He went to a lot of time and effort and trouble to make sure we knew how to "get it right." And still, there are few that find it. Doesn't mean it doesn''t exist, though. You just haven't found it. If I were color blind, I could go my whole life believing and emphatically stating that there is no red or green, and insulting and belittling everyone who said there was, because they could see it. Would that make them wrong for being able to see red and green. No.

Well there is no doubt in my mind that God is real which make what I'm doing right not saying I'm perfect, that's why there should be evidence in what you're doing why you should have you're own relationship with Christ to know for sure its the real deal :)

The Bible tells us to give our life over to Christ repent and be baptized...so after you have realized you are sorry and that you are wrong in how you have sinned against God the one that sent His son to die for you to save you, after baptism, He said the Holy Ghost well come upon you first you have to seek and wait for it....the evidence of the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongue so can someone else take control of your tongue?> can someone do that? proof that its real in my book!!!

And even if I have it all wrong I would not trade it in or change I'll continue doing as I'm doing now I guess I'm fully convinced my love

You can bet that very few will find the path which leads to life. The times I have proven MYSELF wrong are enough to keep me in study.

How many made it in Noah's day? Out of a very large population, only 8 were saved. You make a very valid point which we would all do well to consider.

We should support freedom of religion and freedom from religion.

This promotes tolerance and social cooperation which improves the standard of living for secular and non secular people across the social spectrum. With freedom comes the responciblity of respecting other peoples rights. Those that do not respect the rights of others should have their own rights removed.

I believe that no one is right. I just wish that people would move on with their lives instead of doing everything in their power to prove something that otherwise shows no proof of existence.

If there is a God, he's doing nothing to show himself. In that case, yes, we'd likely all be wrong.

But a MUCH simpler explanation is that there just isn't one. Between that and guessing wildly at what kind of undiscernable god might exist, I pick the first one.

I think that only the Budhist have it even remotely right, live and let live as long as it harms no one or nothing else. Respect every one and every thing now because ultimately, we are all connected in some way.

right or wrong one thing is sure, it won't be funny.

ya its definitely going to be different than what people would have thought about after life bcoz in this life alone there is so much partiality n discontinuity n unexpected behavior.
