Why do questions go for months with no pick for 'best answer'?
I answered questions 6 months ago that are still in voting. Please pick an answer and get the question resolved. Someone deserves a 'best answer'!

Most of us find it extremely annoying when someone asks a question and isn't polite enough to pick a "best answer". I understand that questions can be forgotten, however in this situation VOTE YOURSELF and get a best answer.
A couple of people said they wanted a "democratic answer", well, that just doesn't fly, if the question was important enough for us to take our time and answer, it's important enough for you to pick and answer, or at LEAST vote for one of the options when it goes for a vote.
And finally, you can go to the oldest questions open, and just vote for as many Best as you please all afternoon and make a lot of people happy and clear out the old questions.

Because at that point, the Y! community picks since the questioner did not bother deciding. Not all questions are answered.

Just like they say about our elected officials- "If you do not vote, you do not complain"
So get out and vote.
The more answers there are to a question, the more difficult it is to get a right answer voted in.

I say it's up to the asker to pick their own best answer to avoid the voting process.
- How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.
