Sets od beliefs that does not allow room for exception
USA abortion advocacy
Blind deaf certainty
Non sense spread by ignorant interpreters of the Verbum
Selfish desires and fear that like to distort and lie.
Faith as:

Listen and not just react with blind raw faith
Study and science can destroy nonsense
Faith:

Hi nia !
Yes most time it does ....when questioning truth of faith.
The Catholics and Protestants bombings of Ireland involving bloodsed! The middle East with who owns what land wars! Even here in the USA.with abortion advocacy faith can become a hindrance? .
Discussing scripture with out arguing is done by being humble enough to be reasonable.
Not many can agree to disagree with one another.
That is why the bible admonishes us that the humble one deserves respect.
Because discussion can grow and inspire the heart of many when truth is sought.
Wisdom comes from being reasonable enough to listen and not just react with blind raw faith.
Peace and prosperity to you!

Faith in anything other than the Truth is the hindrance as we are not the Truth but perhaps created and Loved by the Truth which is our Father (the Author), His Son our Lord Jesus the Christ (the Teacher), and the Holy Spirit (the Counselor and Comforter)! In Truth we are equal and it is our selfish desires and fear that likes to distort and lie. In Truth evil does not exist and understanding of the Truth can be obtained if we only seek and ask. The world without faith in the Truth will inevitability fail but that doesn't mean the Truth will change. Hope this helps ;-) Love - D

No ! in actuality it basically could make it worse for international peace ! would desire to the persons of the international save on with their recent religious ideals to the letter we could have already have been given peace ! There exists indoors of very very almost each faith some guideline that urges kindness and information between fellow human beings. how that's interpretted and manifested is the placement the conflicts upward push up and fester. This then is between people who truly and quite DO save on with thier religious ideals-----for those that do no longer then the area can develope good right into a worse scenario ! Human nature does not grant a ordinary bond alongside religious strains that bridges the super adjustments between peoples. A compelled peace is plenty greater advantageous probable than one generated from religious tenets----yet then the question is: would desire to prefer to or no longer it is actual peace if it does not come from the middle ? M.A.D. become the closest we are able to ever adventure, and it as wrought by skill of the mushroom cloud, no longer the Holy Scriptures. Did the Russians have it good all alongside ????

No. Assuming that your hope is bound by love; then the answer must be no.
Faith is your ability to bring hope(s) into existence. There is no way faith can hinder the world; except as it might thwart the demonic.
To describe faith as adherence to a set of beliefs or actions is to
reduce faith to a synonym for belief; to rob faith of even its best
known feature which is trust.
Is it a hindrance that a child should trust its parents? I think
not; unless those same parents are themselves without faith.
The problem is there is to much belief, head trips, and to little faith.

depends on what you define faith as...and it depends on what you consider a hindrance.
a lot of people define faith as a set of beliefs that does not allow room for exception. if this is your "faith" then it will always hinder your relations.
if you are steadfast in making sure your "faith" does not come with a belief system then it should only serve to advance your understandings.
there are some black holes out there that you need to watch out for....people can literally steal your light...if this is the case then yes this is a hindrance that you must free yourself from...

I think it depends on what we are clinging to...for example, if it is trusting in ourselves or divine love or either one's ability to weather any storm, then faith is a great beacon of light, perhaps even necessary for our survival at times.
However, if our faith is in a self deception or blind/deaf certainty then yes, this becomes a hindrance on a mass scale. I think the concept of faith can be misused/abused to the point that it isn't even 'faith' anymore...it is more like a self-designed mechanism that traps a person inside their comfort zone.
Thank you for your thought-provoking question.
Love, light and blessings!

Perhaps with some... but it shouldn't. If it is abandoned, it would most likely be replaced by the hylic influences that lead to degradation. Think of it as a very needed chastity belt "without which it is impossible to please God".
"The phenomenon is as old as the world. . . . The priests of India and China practiced it before the Egyptians and the Greeks. The savages and the Esquimaux know it well. It is the phenomenon of Faith, sole source of every prodigy," and it will be done to you according to your faith. The one who enunciated this profound doctrine was verily the incarnated word of Truth; he neither deceived himself, nor wanted to deceive others; he expounded an axiom which we now repeat, without much hope of seeing it accepted.
"Man is a microcosm, or a little world; he carries in him a fragment of the great All, in a chaotic state. The task of our half-gods is to disentangle from it the share belonging to them by an incessant mental and material labor. They have their task to do, the perpetual invention of new products, of new moralities, and the proper arrangement of the crude and formless material furnished them by the Creator, who created them in His own image, that they should create in their turn and so complete here the work of the Creation; an immense labor which can be achieved only when the whole will become so perfect, that it will be like unto God Himself, and thus able to survive to itself. We are very far yet from that final moment, for we can say that everything is to be done, to be undone, and outdone as yet on our globe, institutions, machinery, and products."
"Mens non solum agitat sed creat molem."
"We live in this life, in an ambient, intellectual centre, which entertains between human beings and things a necessary and perpetual solidarity; every brain is a ganglion, a station of a universal neurological telegraphy in constant rapport with the central and other stations by the vibrations of thought."
"The spiritual sun shines for souls as the material sun shines for bodies, for the universe is double and follows the law of couples. The ignorant operator interprets erroneously the divine dispatches, and often delivers them in a false and ridiculous manner. Thus study and true science alone can destroy the superstitions and nonsense spread by the ignorant interpreters placed at the stations of teaching among every people in this world. These blind interpreters of the Verbum, the WORD, have always tried to impose on their pupils the obligation to swear to everything without examination in verba magistri."
"Alas! we could wish for nothing better were they to translate correctly the inner voices, which voices never deceive but those who have false spirits in them. 'It is our duty,' they say, 'to interpret oracles; it is we who have received the exclusive mission for it from heaven, spiritus flat ubi vult, and it blows on us alone. . . .'
"It blows on every one, and the rays of the spiritual light illuminate every conscience; and when all the bodies and all the minds will reflect equally this dual light, people will see a great deal clearer than they do now."

It can very easily, and often does.
But I think that Ideally it shouldn't be a hindrance, but an enhancer and an enabler of good-ness
