Okay, I would start with a Riesling or a Gewurtztraminer. Or a blend of the two. Actually, Rosemount makes a great blend of the two that is very drinkable.

Also, there is a winery that makes a Riesling called "Naked" which is very nice.

Another good choice would be a sparkling wine. I like the Barefoot Brut Cuvee is quite drinkable.

I would stay away from red wines for the most part, as they're more of an acquired taste (and they stain when spilled!)...

All the wines I listed are around $10 a bottle. I would recommend the Barefoot Bubbly Brut Cuvee, though, as it's the holiday season and everything's a bit more celebratory! Enjoy!

Ps. if you want something a little fancier, consider Korbel Extra Dry. It looks fancier but doesn't necessarily taste much better...although it might cost a few dollars more.

PPS. You can find most of these wines at the regular grocery store!

i like a white zinfandel or a blush; they're more of a sweeter type wine.
