Cane Corso has 20 puppies?

Hahah thats amazing!

I just had a litter of 13 on Dec 1st :]

All pups are perfectly healthy :]

However.. I read on the news a few weeks ago that a standard poodle had 17 puppies.

That was just.. phenomenal to me.

All the puppies survived as well.. but half had to be bottle fed.

But they were all healthy! :]

My Afghan hound, Sentinella, whelped 13 in one litter, and 10 in her next. In the litter of 10, there were 5 blacks, and 5 creams. I had a mom that had just lost her litter ( born premee) and she was moping and depressed. I gave her the 5 creams, and Sentinella the 5 blacks, and both moms were very happy, and raised fat n sassy puppies..

A fellow breeder had to go to Germany, and left me with her pregnant dog to care for..Well, I already had a pregnant female. They both whelped the same week, so I had 18 of the little buggers to raise.. Now, that was a JOB..I can imagine the 20 Cane Corsos! They are a more rambunctious breed than mine...

I was afraid to read the link..thinking it was a backyard breeder. Never did I expect that it was a vet tech student who is showing dogs. Wow still a lot of dogs...hope she can find a home for that many at once! At least it was someone that knew what they were doing...I wonder if she did any genetic testing, I might have missed that in the article. I'll re read it later.

Uh what does legit mean in a question like this? The largest litter I know of was 14 puppies. Backyard breeder. Majority of the pups and mother died. Sad sad story but its true.

I had a foster cat give birth to 9 kittens.

Then the other two prego cats we took in gave birth (all within days of each other)

we had about 20 some odd kittens lol it was nuts.

But that 9 kitten litter was the largest I've seen, the mom cats ended up putting them all together and sharing the load though.

My Lily was from a Litter of 12. Daisy was from a litter of 15.

i've known of a few pitbulls who've had litters of 13, but not more than that O.o;

oh my room mate just told me when she was young she had a golden retriever who had 16!

I'm just speechless... 20? It's great that she seems reputable... I think... I hope...

Geezus. I wouldn't want even one of those beasts. Isn't that the breed that attacked and mutilated that woman in San Francisco? Why would someone want to make more of these?
