What is your happiest and best Christmas memory?

For me, it was Christmas of 1989. My children were small and it was the first time here in Florida that we ever had a "White Christmas". In fact, it hasn't snowed since! I still remember seeing my 2 little girls playing out in the snow with their Daddy, building snowmen and throwing snowballs. It truly was the best Christmas ever. It was their last Christmas with him. He died the following November.

Capri, this question never fails to bring a tear to my eyes, my favorites were long ago, my dad left us as a small child, but that never got my beautiful mother down during the holidays and my brother and I never knew that we were poor, Mom would stay up nights and sew and make toys and put together some of the most beautiful presents I have ever seen and Christmas morning we would gather around the tiny tree that always looked so huge to us then and all the packages would be wrapped with brightly colored cloth or material of a new pair of pants and some ribbon or something and Glenn and I had also made Mommy some small thing at school that we could not wait to give her but she had cleverly hid away in the back. We would open each gift with such delight and just up and down and sing songs and hold hands and dance in between our delight, Mom's green eyes dancing with joy. She would fold up the cloth to put away for some other beautiful shirt or dress or something for my grandma and we would get another package to open, maybe a new store bought doll or a car for Glenn and always one new book! Then Mom would open her special gift, back then it was usually some special Christmas ornament for the tree and mom would beam from ear to ear and hug us tightly and find just the perfect spot to hang them. She kept each and everyone of those and hung them every year. We would go make our dinner sometimes cracker soup, or some other wonderful creation but whatever it was it was special. Mom is gone now too she passed the day before my 19th birthday,(also in November but way before 89) but my memories of our small Christmas's alone outshine any I can remember. I am sorry to hear of your loss, may Jesus and all his love bless you and your children this holiday season.

    Best Christmas Memories

When I was young we used to live at my Grandparents we had nine people living there but every Christmas my Grandmother would find someone who was alone at Christmas an invite them for Christmas dinner I think that is what Christmas should be all about. I have done that many times and it gives me a good Christmas feeling to do this for lonely people. This year we are going to help serve Christmas dinner for people who are alone or homeless at a local church on Christmas day. Merry Christmas to all the lonely people.
