I keep hearing that I cannot understand the science behind the CRU emails.?

Could one of you alarmist scientists please explain the science behind declaring that one would rather destroy scientific data rather than see someone who would dispute your findings get it, or gloating that a reporter who has been critical of you has died? Please don't be afraid to show the math.

Oh drat, you got us. All the data we had to 'prove' AGW, was in those stolen e-mails! Now we got to start all over again. This time we're gonna keep our fake data in a cigar box under the bed.

Source(s): If ALL the climate scientists are in on a ongoing massive fraud, how do they keep it 'secret' from other scientists in overlapping, related areas of Science? Do the AGW fakers have a 'secret' handshake or something? Is there a yearly 'secret' convention to indoctrinate the newly graduated scientists? How can they get ALL the Scientists WORLDWIDE to be in on the action? If money is the 'motivation', why aren't there ANY scientists on Forbe's 500? Doubt is not proof! http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/EnergyBa...

Steve McIntyre is a professional smear artist.

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AigcX...

Phil Jones had already given him all the data he needed, and I don't blame him for not wanting to bend over backwards to keep giving a smear artist more and more unnecessary information. He got frustrated and said something he shouldn't have in a private email. Newsflash - he's human. Tell me you've never done the same. I know I have.

As for "cheering" about John Daly's death - what does that have to do with science? Again in private somebody said something which isn't very nice. So what?

*edit* Meadow - my take on that is Jones realized he said some things he shouldn't have, and didn't want it on the record. Another mistake to ask for the deleting of the emails (which obviously didn't happen - he didn't even delete the email where he asked for emails to be deleted!). Perhaps even unethical.

But it has nothing to do with the scientific evidence for anthropogenic global warming. If anything Jones should be reprimanded for his poor judgment.

    @ Dana

Okay, fine, but what about the emails where he tells co-workers to delete emails rather than comply with the law (i.e. the FOI law)? That bit really shook me. I mean, destroying data and deleting emails. It's all a bit Farenheit 451 isn't it?
