pellucid is another word for translucent - it's more obscure & 'literary'
acrid is an adjective meaning "sharp and harsh or unpleasantly pungent in taste or odor" - - it describes the characteristic of an item (plant, food, etc)
acrimonious is also an adjective meaning : "caustic, biting, or rancorous especially in feeling, language, or manner" - - it's a personal characteristic
