Can average, working-class Americans now see how influential the Insurance Industry is in Congress?

Joe Lieberman is carrying their flag, but he isn't the only one in the pockets of the Insurance lobbyists and, you must realize that their interests are the opposite of mine and yours! The less they pay out in claims, the more they profit. Why don't all middle-class Americans, of both parties, understand this? Why do so many support the exceedingly untrustworthy Insurance Industry? It baffles me!!!

Update:

Oh please! That "koolaid" reference is so old and overused. If it's an "insurance bill", why do you think the Insurance Industry is spending millions to defeat it? Think people! Think! Lieberman is a mole for the Republican Party and for insurance bribed Congress.

Joe Lieberman is carrying the flag of capitalism and the American people The American people do not want health care reform. Most are quite happy the way it is.

And when is profit making a bad thing? It's only the liberal mentality that says it's a bad thing.

This entire bill is written and approved by big insurance and pharma. Remember when Hillary wanted to reform Health care and she was criticized for doing it in secret? She didn´t want the insurance companies to know what she was drafting and the shite hit the fan. Do you wonder why the insurance or banks who own insurance companies haven´t said a word? There is a reason, follow the money...This bill smells of big pharma and insurance companies...Its stinks to high heaven

You seem to have drunk the whole jar of kool-aid.

Besides the profits of the health insurance industry only add ~2% to the cost of providing medical care. Wouldn't _real_ healthcare reform focus on the things that keep driving up the costs of healthcare instead of focusing on the companies that have little to do with the final costs?
