What to do about a virus possibly stealing information?
So... here's the thing. I run Malwarebytes every Wednesday as part of a routine. When I did it last week everything was clear. This week my job asked that I fill out some paperwork online, and they ask for my social security number and I did it yesterday. I ran the anti-spyware program today and it said I had a Trojan.BHO in IE. I'm a little worried about the information I had to put in for work. Is there anything I can do to make sure my information wasn't stolen? What should I do next? Any advice? Thank you in advance!

Nothing you can do to know for sure. Just work on removing it now.

1. Anti-spyware, anti-virus, and a firewall - these three elements provide fundamental security, and are essential to keep your PC protected and your private information under your control. Keep in mind, the security software that is included with your PC at purchase may be a trial version that will expire if you fail to buy a subscription.
2. Use a limited user account for day to day computing. You expose yourself to a variety of security risks when you run Windows using the all-powerful administrator account. Check to see which type of account you're using now, and consider switching to a limited account to reduce the effect of malware.
3. Uninstall unwanted aps. New PCs often come pre-loaded with all sorts of programs and trial software. Remove the clutter by deciding what software is helpful to you, and then delete the rest.
