What to Christians, Muslims (& other religious people) think about climate change and the health of the planet?

I am just interested, because the planet is in our care and the care of God / your God. I think he would be quite disappointed looking around and seeing the damage we are doing to the gift he gave us. Global warming or not, we do throw out a lot of rubbish, chemicals and pollutants into the world.

Do you believe we should be doing something to change our world for the better? Or just sit back and let God take care of it?

Update:

Please! None of this God is going to destroy the planet anyway! That is just lazy and uncaring!

I *personally* believe climate change is natural. We have nothing to comapir it to, and the magnetic poles of the earth are in constant rotation which is possible to have caused the ice age (heard it a long time ago on discovery channel) so I think all this "going green" stuff is another fad, like low carb diets.

I'm a Christian, and it drives me *insane* when I hear fellow Christians saying that we don't need to take care of the planet because "it's all gonna burn in the end".

God gave us the Earth and we have a responsibility to take care of it. It's just pure selfishness to think that it's okay to slack off, whether we're going through global warming or not.

I would imagine God would want us to take care of the planet as best we could, especially considering this is not just an environmental issue, but a human rights issue -- the poor suffer more from the impacts of environmental degradation than the rich.

God seem to foreseen this problem as he always mention End of the World. He should fully responsible to it.

    In Human point of view

We sure do whatever we can to prevent it to happen, because we live here and our future one will continue living here.

according to the bible this earth is going to be destroyed anyways, and God does not tell us to love this place but has set in our hearts a desire for a better home with him.

we should take care of our Home.
