My 11 year old daughter has to have 4 tooth extractions in preparation for her braces.?

Is this normal for dentists to pull all of them out in one day?

yes it is normal, happens all the time. And if you think about it, it makes sense, the dentist has to use less drugs on your daughter, it saves a lot of time and her risk for infection is greatly reduced by having a one time extraction visit than four.

Yep, I had 4 teeth pulled before I got braces as well. It's to help make room to straighten her teeth if she has a small mouth (like I do).

She'll be okay, just keep some soft foods and soup around :) Follow the after-care instructions of the dentist. You don't want those spots to get infected!

I'm assuming that they're probably baby teeth and yes it's not a big deal if it's a baby tooth. They're easy to pull out. Now getting permanent teeth out in one day would be a different story.

    yes

i got all 4 out in one day for braces. don't worry, though, it doesn't hurt that much once they numb your gums

IF SHE NEEDED TO HAVE 4 BICUSPID TEETH REMOVED PRIOR TO BRACES THEN THIS IS NORMAL
