I'm having a baby girl! What do you think of this name?

I just recently found out I am having a baby girl.

I already have the perfect name in mind but I don't know if the name is too weird.

I want to name her Federica.

I think it is such a beautiful name.

What do you think?

I don't want you to tell me what you think I want to hear.

I want your honest opinion.

Also, how do you think I should spell it, if I do in fact name her this way.

Federica or Federika?

Thank you sooo muchh!

I think it's a really bad name. It just sounds like an ugly boy's name that somebody threw an 'a' on the end of to try to make it suitable for a girl and it's still just awful. I think it's the 'reek' part in it that I don't like. I really apologize. You said not to tell you what you want to hear, so I'm guessing I didn't. Also, she may get teased in school with that name. If you do use it though- which by all means, it's your baby, you do what you like!- spell it Fredrica. It looks much nicer.

I actually had a very good friend named Fredrica. I didnt like it before I met her, but once I met her I instantly loved it. I do like it better as Fredrica than Frederica since it flows better and doesnt seem so odd.

As far as spelling is concerned, I would only spell it with a k if you're from a place that prominently spells eric with a k (like Germany). If you're from somewhere like America, I would say spell it with a c.

I don't care for it. However, it will sound okay if you have a Hispanic last name. Otherwise, it's a terrible idea.

    The "k" spelling is terrible.
