why is it that everyone recognizes that practically all religions have cracked out nutjob extremists, but then its some kind of suprise when there happens to be nutjobs in judaism too?

and unlike some religions, Judaism promotes learning for the sake of it. a book being reccomended reading doesn't mean that what it says is standard, acceptable or truthful. reading a text taht is wrong can help you learn WHY its wrong by making you think and see how they are incorrect, for example.
