Your question assumes that government exists for the good of society.

It isn't. It is more of a con game that pretends to want to help us but if we look just under the surface it is just a series of scams thinly disguised as social programs.

I think government is essentially a system developed by the more powerful to have more control over the less powerful to keep their power. In a world built by finance it has often become the method of the rich keeping order over the poor and letting them enjoy life enough that they might not rebel in large numbers. If you don't use that kind of control you lose your power. That means government isn't good, bad, or necessary... it just happens to keep a sense of order and power. When a group of people with less power don't see eye to eye, when they don't band together as one they truly have very little power.

I ask you... in what way do you suggest we choose not to be governed? Do we refuse to pay taxes, go to war, stop at stoplights? Most people have different ideas about the limits they want to be governed and that creates problems too.

Sadly we are living in a world where people love to make EXCUSES. ("It's too big", "I'm not smart enough", or, in this case, "I have no power over it") People need to realize that one life is capable of touching many others. Individuals can make differences. Most just don't realize it or don't feel like doing anything.

As a side note, I have my own pet peeve, and that's people who blame their DNA for how they act (another excuse). Gimme a break. New science even provides evidence that DNA AND GENES DO NOT CONTROL DESTINY. Don't believe me? Read The Biology of Belief by Bruce H. Lipton, PhD. It is a FANTASTIC book.

And to answer this question so this reply is at least acceptable, I have never heard anyone ever say "We have no power over certain things." In fact, most of the people I know would deny that and say that they are in control.

There are some things we just don't have powers over though. Believe me, I've spent hours knock my alarm clock of the table. Telekinetically.

I don't get your statement though, seriousley. Are you saying that if you're hurting someone but you don't mean to, then you should be let off the hook?

i agree. If you put up a fight and believe you control your own destiny and future against all ways they govern you and try to control you then you can control your own destiny. Just believe.
