Wedding party outfit color question?

My wedding colors are green (sage/celadon/what David's Bridal calls Peridot) and purple (David's Bridal Victorian Lilac with Lapis accents). My girls are wearing peridot dresses with lapis sashes and my flower girl is wearing a lapis dress. My dress accent is Vic Lilac. What should my groomsmen (and groom) use as an accent color - green or purple? And my mom? And the Ushers? Also, I am having an usherette (groom's sister will be an usher instead of BM because I want 4 attendants and not 5), so what color should she wear? Green dress? Purple dress? Black dress? Black dress w/ green or purple accent?

Help?

Am I just on the wrong track altogether? I just need opinions and reassurance...

Thanks!

Update:

Sorry, it was a lot of questions :/ Thanks a bunch for reading!

Wow that was a lot of info. OK here goes...

So I understand that all your girls are wearing the same dress, you are not having a separate dress for your maid/matron of honor. So all the grooms men should also match. Since the girls are primarily in green, I would go with green for the groomsmen, and purple for your groom since your dress has the violet accents. Of course you need to see what your options are at the Tux place. If they don't have the color or shade that you need you may need to go all with one or the other, but either way it will look great. You could always go with something traditional for the groomsmen like black and white.

As far as your female usher (and she is an usher not an usherette) I think a dress similar top your bridesmaids dress but maybe in purple with green accents. Or just all one color. Male ushers can just wear nice suits, they do not need tuxes, but make sure they all have boutonnieres, and your female usher has a corsage. If you want the male ushers in tuxes, then I would have them in purple to match the female usher.

For the moms, let them decide what color, green or purple and let them choose their own dress and have the Dad's in classic suits or tuxes black and white.

Really this is your wedding and you can choose to do whatever you like best. There really isn't a right or wrong way unless your talking about specific etiquette issues.

    Good luck!

this was loaded full of questions. :-)

peridot for the groomsmen- ties, vest, whatever they are wearing

vic lilac for the groom (to match you and stand out from the groomsmen)

your mom - id say some vic lilac or purple (lapis) I think its good for her to match the wedding party (dont want her walking around in fire engine red ya know :-)

    usherette-black dress- purple (lapis) accent

    ushers-black-purple (lapis)accent

By the way- these are the EXACT colors I envisioned for my wedding . :-)

I know what your going through. I was having the same problems for a while. Go to Davids bridal website. There is a tab on top that says dress my wedding. It has the dresses for the bridesmaids and tux for the groomsmen. There you can pick and choose the colors you want see together.

This tool really helped me and I hope it helps you. There is no reason to stress the little things. I'm sure it's going to look beautiful.

    Good Luck

The groomsmen match the bridesmaids. Make the groom a bit different.

Please don't call her an usherette! She is an usher. The ushers do not dress to match the wedding party - but their bouts/corsage can be wedding colours.

Your mom/his mom - don't wear the colours of the wedding party. They choose something they like, look gorgeous in, and they don't have to match each other.

you could just have the groomsmen match the bridesmaides.

and your mom doesn't have to match the wedding party.

i would have your usherette wear black with a green or purple accent somewhere.

You could have the Groom wear purple while the groomsman wear green.

Mom could wear Purple or Silver. If the girls are wearing green, you don't want your mom to match.

If you are wearing ivory, you don't want your mom in a similar color.
