In reference to Where was God on 9/11...if the answer is God doesn't change things then why pray?

I mean other than a prayer of thanks? Why pray for God to change anything? If he did that kind of stuff wouldn't he have helped on 9/11 and the Holocaust like the other person pointed out? Do you think God interferes with life on Earth at all?

God knows our beginning and our end. He knows us before we are formed in the womb. He knows our days our numbered.

I believe that God heals those who are supposed to be healed, and those who aren't he doesn't. He knows when our time is up on earth. It's very simply stated so in the bible in

Jeremiah 1: 5a "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee"

If you think about it, God has already interfered with life of humans. Not only did he create us

(Genesis 1:26) He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to earth (Luke 2:6). From the time He was about 33 to minister to His followers and then to die on the cross ( Matthew 27:50) at age of 36.Then Rise 3 days later ( Matthew 28:6).

Now you tell me He hasn't already done so much for us? In Death there is peace and no pain. Those who have died before His return are blessed. He has a plan already laid out, all we are to do is follow it.

I believe that praying is futile as there is no prove that god exists. Some people like to think that god knows why he does everything. If a million people are slaughtered then god had a good reason to permit it. If a person miraculously survives a car crash then god saved him. This continues in an endless cycle that leaves no room for the possibility that god might not exist. I have come to the following three conclusions.

    1. God does not exist.

    2. God is an incredibly cruel being.

3.God is an incredibly complex being in which case nobody in this planet is fit to understand his reasoning.

God loves us more then we can possibily imagine and just wants to give us the best life ever.....that's why he gave his only son as a ransom for humanity and each individual person's large debt of sins so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. And I got saved 8 months ago,and even though I am just 14 I have gone thru a lot and I have friends who have lives that I am thankful I don't have to live. But Life is hard we can all say that, but With jesus you have a bestfriend who loves you to give his life up so that you may live thru him and share the same favor he gets from his father God almighty. I truly believe the halucost and 9/11 was totally a sad and trajic event. But we can trust that it is all in God's master plan.....I can not stress enough how much God loves us and it is so comforting to know that the Good will always work out for those who love the lord. God is not the type of God who sits with a magnifiying glass waiting to terrorize peoples lives neitheir is he a type of judge who is so quick to punish but rather yet he is a merciful and passionate God. And when ever God lets something happen we already know that he is going to get so much glory out of it! My heart goes out to the holocaust victims and 9/11 victims as well....But we can all stand for sure to know that what satan meant for evil God turned it around and made it Good. Because of 9/11 America became a more tolerant nation and a closer nation. And the Jews in America are soooo blessed it is crazy! God is omni-present and omni-potent and he is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we may ask, think,or imagine. And a lot of humans think that their human will is stronger then God's divine will. And they are just trippin'. Cause God has considered all the plots of every story and every motive that people have, and is able to make the plots work out for his master plan. He wants us to prosper,Jesus said be prosperous just as your soul prospers.

God does not INTERFERE with man's choices, but does INTERVENE at times. We are given free will and God allows bad things to happen due to man's choices...sin. We live in a fallen world and much bad does happen. BUT Jesus promises to be with those that belong to Him (christians) always. This does not mean christians are exempt from the evils of this world, just that we are given what is needed to go through whatever and Jesus is there with us. Prayer IS very powerful from God's own. There are many miracles that happen that some people don't even attribute to God. What christians have to look forward to is eternal life free of all the evils!! So, for me, earth is just a passing to my eternal home with Jesus forever. God bless

People aren't clairvoyant. We can't know of an event before it happens, and then pray to God to prevent it from happening. God does have a plan. Perhaps this situation was to open peoples eyes. It is a world event and has brought things into motion. These wars, and today's standard of living/economy are all prophesied in the Bible. God doesn't interfere with mans agency. If this is the case, then He wouldn't have given it to us in the first place.

Everything has a purpose in the end, no matter how horrible and painful it is at the time.

    1. The Titanic sinking cause ships to be built much more safely

    2. The holocaust taught people what prejudice results in

    etc...

I believe that God will intervene, but not in physical ways so much. I think he gives us strength etc...

God rarely, if at all, interferes with life on Earth, & he has his reasons. & praying is a lot of times not going to get you what you want, but it can give you hope & get you closer to God & help you through rough times

Evil exists as does the devil. Evil is the absence of God just like darkness is the absence of light.

What happened on 9/11 and the Holocaust was pure Evil.

Yes God is active on Earth. God gave us free will so that we could chose between following His teachings or following the devil and our own ways (greed, lust, envy, etc.). God gave us the Bible so that we know how to live godly lives.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:6-7

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. ~1 John 4:16-21

After 9/11, Jerry Falwell blamed the attacks on the ACLU, pagans, feminists, abortionists, gays, lesbians, People for the American Way (Norman Lear) and liberals. If his grave were nearby, I would be dancing on it.

God is too busy picking the Super Bowl teams right now and currently got side tracked with the marriage of Tiger Woods.
