Christians please explain how your god communicates with you, do you hear voices, or physically feel something?
I have never had a god communicate with me so I am curious about what the process is like do you see something ? or interpret something as being a sign? can you have a conversation ?

God can communicate through various means. He can put thoughts into your head, He can use others to get his point across and He uses His Word (Bible) to speak truth to us.

A sense of presence and (usually) peace.
An inner nudge or voice, ranging in intensity from "that could just be me" to "that's definitely God."
Bible verses, or other texts that speak to me.
Other people -- their words or actions.
The sacraments.
Answered prayers.
Mental pictures.
Can you have a conversation? I'm sure God could if he wanted to, but in my experience, no. In any given "God moment" there's not a lot of back and forth.
You also asked about interpreting something as being a sign. I try to be rather conservative about asking for signs or interpreting random events as being signs. But I'll give you a recent, fairly mundane example of a moment when I actually believe God gave me a sign:
I was in church praying to God about whether he wanted me to get involved in serving the church, and how. Lector, choir, or nothing? With an infant and a toddler at home, I was fairly reluctant to commit time to anything, so I told God that if he wanted me to serve, he'd better make it obvious. Right then, the man next to me, a complete stranger, turned to me and said, "You have a beautiful voice." "Okay, God," I replied. "That could be a coincidence. If that was a sign, I'm going to need another one." A few minutes later the same man turned to me, eyes boring into mine, and said, "You REALLY have a beautiful voice." I about burst out laughing. I thanked the man, and joined the choir.
Sure, that could have been a coincidence too, but I also believe God works through moments like that.
But despite some surface similarities (plenty of Christians have "heard God in a Bible verse"), every person's prayer life is different.

It's the same thing that spirit mediums get. In this case, the Christian is a medium of God. So the way God is perceived would be clairvoyance, clairaudience, and other similar ways. And occasionally things happen in one's life that are so perfectly timed to a worshipper's spiritual journey that these occurrences are taken as a sign from God. In Christianese you might hear the phrase "God laid it on my heart" instead of the person saying he heard a voice, to avoid a psychological stigma.
Like one day I came home to find my house flooded. On the drive after that, going to a hotel while the house dried, the song "Rock you like a hurricane" came on the air. It was a sign from God telling me to move. God works in mysterious ways.

If you want to know God's will, if you think about it or you ask God about it in a prayer, you might get some answer. It might be your own ideas - so you might get the answer through your own thoughts. You might find the answer in someone else's words or in the words of the Bible. You might get the answer in the pictures of one of your dreams, or through a fantasy picture of yours, while you are awake. And - very rarely - some persons really might hear some voices or see a real vision.
Of course one should find out, if any of these came really from God or not. (Other possible sources: "an accident", our personal whim or the devil.) It is not easy, it might even be a bit like a series of trial and error. But in practice it is usually not that hard. A Christian person with love and some intelligence usually knows, without any special sign, what is his / her task to do, here and now. But in some cases we might need some special help to find God's will. Even then we might try to follow this or that sign and it is not necessarily hard to find the right way through signs. One should be sober in this process. It might be clever to consult a Christian pastor /priest before a decision. C. S Lewis wrote symbolically about this in his tales - e. g. in Prince Caspian. But this is reality - many have experience about it.
See my sources! I especially suggest to read Merlin Carother's book, that is a basic one. (I don't know if Eberhard Mühlan's is published in English or not.)
Most of these are my personal experience, too. Write to me, if you are interested in more of this.

God can obviously speaks to all of us through the Word of God, The Bible. WE have to have an open heart to listen. If you go to church already with a ignorant, negative attitude, it will be difficult to understand and take in what the Word says. God verbally won't verbally talk to you, but through the Holy Spirit He can convince you and direct you. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says that we walk by faith, some people might think that its weird how you talk to God through prayer, but acutally that is the way God speaks to us...its not like "whoaaaa.....what a religion...!!!!" don't see it as a religion, it is a relationship. we all wanna be loved....don't deny it, we wanna feel accepted, so prayer, is like talking to your close friend. God just wants to talk to you; a conversation between friends. God can speak to you through a kid, an elder, through anyone He chooses to. God spoke to Joseph through dreams(Genesis 37) through visions God definitely speaks, but as said before, one must have an open heart (by faith) to listen. The Bible says in Psalm 46:10, that we should be still & know that He is God. this once again points to prayer, prayer is talking, listening, understanding and interpreting a conversation.
In the end, God speaks to us, every morning when we wake up and see the light of a new day, God says GOOD morning, as the leaves on the trees sway, as the birds chirp,as you see the smile on someone's face. God speaks.
i hope this helps.
God bless you.

Primarily through my brain implant chip I received at confirmation. I have a pre-Vatican II implant so its range is limited, and works best in Latin. I have a friend who updated his with one of the new digital ones. (Mine is an old tube model.) Unfortunately due to his age, and his personal habits the surgeon thought it best it be implanted elsewhere. He had it placed inside his titanium penile implant. It seems to work best for his secretary however because she keeps screaming "Oh God, Oh God" whenever he uses it with her.
I really do not use mine much anymore. The FCC cracked down on the radio spectrum used by them and implemented rationing. I also have to sometimes use repeaters if I am out in the boonies. When I use it, I primarily tune in to listen Hendrix, and Keith Moon jamming. The Big Guy stays off of it most days.
He has been real busy carving fake fossils and dinosaur bones to fool the scientists into thinking the world in older than 6500 years. Benn real preoccuppied I understand.
Every once in awhile I will get some far lesser diety mucking about with it, but the anegls normally track he / she / it / them down pretty quick and make a short job of them.
Anyway I hope this helps.

God communicates with us through the word, the Bible. This is the only way that we can know God in detail and know what he wants. We pray to him in order for us to communicate to him. He answers our prayers. It may not be at your time, but it is always the right time. No we cannot see God or hear him physically. He only talks to us through the scriptures.

I can only speak for myself. For me it is an assurance that God is real and that He is with me. I have never heard an audible voice from God and it is not always a 'feeling'. It is that I just know beyond doubt. It is peace in my soul and spirit and a certain power within. I will try to explain: Have you ever been really good at something? You know like a sport or something; where you know inside you and you say to yourself: "I can do this!" And then you do it and it is a feeling; no more of an awareness of power. It is an intangible something that manifests itself in a tangible way. I am aware of the Presence of my Saviour and He is manifested in the living of my life. He lives through me. At times; He is more reality than I am myself because I realize that I don't have this Power just within myself; but it is because of Him.

everyone has been given a gift. some of us call it a consigns or that Other little voice that tell you what you should or should not do. that is the voice of the spirit and the closer we come to the spirit the clearer the little voice becomes the more we do our own will the quieter that voice becomes until we stop our inter voice completely. we have the choice to follow or turn away. it's up to us it is not demanded of anyone

Answered prayer
Dreams and visions
Bible verses that speak right to you
Some hear his voice. As a still calm voice in the inner man
Through friends
Through prophets
Through words of knowledge from a believer
Through closed doors and an open door
But all require faith.

Through Scripture! Verses come to mind at the appropriate times, when you need them.
Quick example- times I am robbed... (this happened more times than I care for- we have quite an open house and have taken in many "fringe kids" till they were on their feet) We've had people walk off with things- objects, money.. and the verse "do not lay up treasures here on earth where moths and rust do corrupt and thieves break in and steal, but rather lay up treasures for yourself in the heavenly kingdom" and Luk 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not [to take thy] coat also.
It reminds me to "not panic"- these things will happen and don't put such a store in material things..and to just pray for these kids who are so lost.
There are so many other examples, but you get the drift.... the right verses come to mind in your circumstances.
