How can I make a rice krispie treat look Christmasy?

I am going to make rice krispie treats for my family get together for Christmas. My brother had a good idea and that was to make them have a Christmas look and I agree with him. But how do I make that happen? He thought of maybe adding red or green food coloring or maybe red or green confetti to them. Can you give me any ideas and also how to use the food coloring in there, He said mixing red and green food coloring together is not a good idea.

Don't use food coloring. Get some red and green m&ms and mix them in after the cereal, or red and green sprinkles, or red hots and some kind of green candy. I can't think of any green candies at the moment though. Or you could just make some with red food coloring, and some with green food coloring, and sort of mix chunks of each together in the pan to cool, to make sort of a patchy look. Probably sprinkles or candy would be easiest and prettiest.

This time of year there are usually some cereals that come out in red and green colors. Like Pebbles or Rice Krispies. Check out the local stores.

LOL it's not a good idea to mix red and green food colouring. You can make two separate bowls, one with red and one with green, Leave some white too. Shape them into christmas trees candy canes etc... Icing and sprinkles are a good idea too. Also if you decide to leave them plain, sprinkle the top with red and green candy sprinkles while they are still warm, then refrigerate.

They sell special holiday packs of M&M's. I don't know if there are plain Holiday M&M's, but there are mint ones. They're red, green, and white and you could mix them into the rice krispie treats. Mixing in food coloring would make the marshmallow look really gross.

You can buy sprinkles that are shaped like stars at the store. They come in all different colors, but I am sure you can find ones that are red and green, or separately red and green. Just add them in and they'll look great!

You can add red and green M&Ms and arrange them into a Christmas tree shape or a bow shape, sticking them on with melted marshmallows. Or you can take marshmallows and red M&Ms and create Santa's face. Or you can take frosting and draw those same pictures. Good luck! Bet your relatives will love them!

form them into balls and make mini snow men use red hots and spice drops and those tubes of colored icing used for decorating cakes

press out and use cookie cutters to form shapes like Christmas treesand stars , decorate with various candies...you can add a few drop of food coloring to sugar to make colored sugar.

keep in squares and use strips of twizzlers as ribbons and decorate like christmas packages this can also be done with tubed Icing.
