How many years period between Dhu al-Qarnayn and Alexander the Great?'?
Dhu al-Qarnayn known as Darius the First,
The well-known Persian King and a true followers of the Zoroastrian religion (about 521-485 B.C.). He first built the Great Wall (Barrier). The wall is 50 miles long, 29 feet hight in its entire height, and about 10 feet in thickness. With its iron gates and numerous watch towers it formed a formidable defence to the Persian frontier. The mountains mentioned are in Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Alexander the Great. Mecedonian King, conquerer of the Persian Empire, and one of the greatest leader in History. Son of Philip II and Olympias.
Both are different person. Dhu al-Qarnayn a Prophet of Al-Mighty God Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. Alexander the Great was NOT a Prophet.

"They, (the tribes of Zagros) said: O Dhu' al-Qarnayn, Gog and Magog (Slavs and Teutonic) do mischief in the land. May we then pay thee tribute on condition that thou raise a barrier between us and them."

Therefore Prophet Dhu' al-Qarnayn in History. The builder of the barrier to keep away the Gog Magog. He then built the Barrier as in the Al-Quran 18:95-98.

"He said: That wherein my Lord has establish me is better. So, if only you help me in strenght (of men), l will make a fortified barrier between you and them. Bring me blocks of iron. At length, when he had filled up the space between the two mountain sides, he said: Blow, till when he had made it (as) fire, he said: Bring me molten brass to pour over it. So they were not able to scale it, nor could they make a hole in it".

Dhu'al-Qarnayn and Alexander the Great are two different person.

Darius 1- 550–486 BCE
Alexander- 356–323 BCE
so Darius dies 130 years before Alexander was born

Dhu al-Qarnayn is Alexander the Great filtered through the storytellers of the Middle East.
Neither of them built any wall in the Caucasus, though the Alexander romance credited him with having done so.

As J says above, but why would you consider Darius a prophet? He was a king, and as all kings did at that time, he caused the death of many humans. Is that what a prophet does?
