at the bottom of my computer screen on the bar it shows what programs are running. how do i get it to show a?

view of the program when i move my mouse over it but don't click??

Update:

da man- i tried that and the box was already checked but it still isn't working. any other ideas?

    On the Vista OS

    Small thumbnail previews of active programs

    can be shown on the windows task bar

    Right click the Task-Bar

    Choose Properties from the small menu

    Add a Check mark to

    Show Windows Pre-View (thumbnails)

    Click Apply

    Click OK

    If you are talking about the notification area (the part with the time and volume) then it does not work that way in any windows operating system. The taskbar area will show it by enabling windows previews (thumbnails) in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties in Vista and Windows 7.

    Taskbar and Start Menu Properties: Right click on an open area of the taskbar and select properties
