Are there any programs I could do over the Summer if I am a Senior in high school considering med school?
I am going to do pre-med next year but I wanted to know if there were any programs I could do like a camp or something this Summer that focused on med school. I live in Missouri. Mizzou has a thing called mini med school but that is only for Juniors. So I was just thinking of something like that.

I don't know if I should get the solid blue bottom or the striped bottom. I feel like a striped bottom would be too much.

By best I mean cheapest, fastest, and least expensive. There are three people going. Should we rent a car, fly, take a bus, a train, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
If we rent a car are there any rental places that let a person under 21 drive?
1 AnswerOther - United States1 decade agoI had ACL replacement surgery two weeks ago and?
sometimes I have this super sharp pain behind the knee. It's mostly when I stand up after I have been sitting in a chair. I had an allograft and I also had part of my meniscus removed. Is this normal?
2 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoI had ACL replacement surgery two weeks ago and just had my first PT session?
my PT didn't do anything for my flexion. It's only at 50. Did anyone else have such a low flexion at 2 weeks post op? I got an allograft if that matters...
2 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoI had ACL replacement surgery on monday and now it's thursday. I got a donor graft and also part of my meniscu?
s cut out. The doctor told me the most important thing for the first week is extension. I've been trying to prop my ankle on a pillow and let my knee hang down. It's really painful and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be painful. If I have my ankle on the pillow and I put a towel or something under my knee that makes it a bit better but I don't know if that's cheating. Any suggestions for making it less painful because I want to get full extension?

3 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoI noticed my computer was running really slow so I opened the task manager. The CPU usage is at 100% and the?
Physical Memory is at 55%. I looked at the processes and there are 72 running so I scrolled down and there is a process running called svchost.exe and it shows up 12 times! To me this seems like a virus. The memory some of them are using is 60,000 K, 62000 K, 31000 K, and then others are using 3000 K. One specific process, under the CPU row says 50! I'm doing two virus scans and I will see if something comes up. What should I do if there are no viruses detected? Is this many processes running common?
8 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoDid anybody else wonder about the ending of My Sister's Keeper the movie? IS ANYONE THIS ANGRY?!?! Spoiler.?
I was pissed. I can't believe they changed the character that died. It ruined the whole movie. The movie was great until the end when she said my sister died that night!!! WHAT THE HELL?!?! I was totally expecting a new scene where they were driving home and got in the crash that caused Anna to die! The maker of this movie can't just change the end like that. It made it way too predictable. In the book I didn't even expect what was coming because it was such a new twist. Instead of the girl with the deadly disease dying she lived because her sister died! I was expecting the conversation between the family about a miracle and wishing your cancer cells away to be some sort of foreshadowing towards Anna's death. If someone who hadn't read the book saw the movie the ending makes it way too predictable. I am so frustrated with the movie. It was doing fantastic until the end when Kate died. The acting was amazing. They may have focused a bit much on Kate and her scrapbook and boyfriend but it was still a great movie that excludes the ending. I'm never going to watch this movie again because I'm so mad about what they did. They ruined the whole message and I wish I had never seen the movie. To sit through all of that depressing stuff and think that Kate was going to live only to have her die?! I only wish the director had stuck to the storyline they can't truly claim that the movie is based on the story because it's not!!!!!
If you have read the book but haven't seen the movie I STRONGLY suggest you do not see the movie. I wish someone told me that before I saw it.

3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoI'm trying to decide whether or not to have surgery on my ACL. I have a partial tear and my doctor told me...?
my knee was stable enough that I didn't need surgery as long as I got a brace(which I have now) and it the knee wasn't giving out with the brace on. This was after an MRI and a KT 1000 test. I am playing field hockey on it now and in the spring soccer is going to start. It seems to be doing fine...it hasn't given out yet and it barely ever hurts, I can run the same, etc. I was wondering if anyone has a torn ACL and hasn't had the surgery. After playing sports how did it do? I'm 16 and I want to play sports in college. If I keep playing on it while it's torn is that going to effect my knee in the long run. I'm thinking when I'm older will it be more painful with or without surgery?
Thanks in advance for any answers!
