I had ACL replacement surgery on monday and now it's thursday. I got a donor graft and also part of my meniscu?

s cut out. The doctor told me the most important thing for the first week is extension. I've been trying to prop my ankle on a pillow and let my knee hang down. It's really painful and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be painful. If I have my ankle on the pillow and I put a towel or something under my knee that makes it a bit better but I don't know if that's cheating. Any suggestions for making it less painful because I want to get full extension?

My suggestion would be to call and ask the doctor that performed the surgery. I know even if I was a doctor I wouldn't know enough about your unique situation to give you as good advice as your doctor does.
