Hey, what about the drug tests? I thought they were obligatory, or is that only pre-enlistment?

Me, I wouldn't want to be around any 'leader' who thinks so little of his men that he'd smoke that ****.

I'd report the dude for the good of the troops. They'd probably just kick him out, if the complaint is verified.

    Report him.

He is required a security clearance to be an officer. Chances are he did not report to the investigating officer he is taking the drugs. Since you have knowledge, it is actually required if you are in the military and DEROG report needs to be filed on him for his clearance.

They may just council him and tell him to stop basically doing nothing, or they may kick him out. He made his choice when he decided to smoke, so don't worry about it.

Either way, he is not what we need in the military.

Although it would be hard to do, you should report him.

At this point, dependent upon your BN commander he/she may or may not do anything about that cadet. However, if you report him you've done the right thing. You've taken the moral high road. It is hard but it is something that officers (and future officers) should do. However, if the BN CDR chooses to commission that cadet, the cadet will eventually hang himself when he takes his first UA at OBC. Either way, if the drug use continues his (or her) career will be over.

    I'm with Ray.

If you report it, it will be investigated. He is taking up space that a good cadet could use.

In my perfect world, Liam would end up in a foxhole under fire - with your guy while he's stoned. And they run out of ammo.

while i dont think you should report him, he is going to become a terrible officer. if he cant control himself in college, how will he lead a group of 40 ppl in Afghanistan. maybe u should tell him that hes a disgrace to the uniform, hes unfit to be an officer, let alone be in the army at all, and hes dragging the us army's honor codes thru the mud every time he does.

Don't be such a snitch. Besides, once you graduate, they test you for drugs. Why don't you let him enjoy his life a little? Unless it makes you feel good to make others lives miserable and destroy something theyve accomplished, go ahead and report it.

ROTC may test him, but if there is no proof they can't do anything.
