Yet another bad customer service experience?
God, I feel like I have a kick me sign on my forehead, yet again, I deal with really really bad customer service. Whenever my fiance goes somewhere he gets good customer service, cashiers conversate with him, suggest products etc. I'm not unattractive, and I dont shop at cheap ghetto places, still it seems like it only happens to me more often than not especially chain stores. I went to CVS just few months again, and the ghetto black cashier said something stupid to me with her twang. I wanted to tell her to go f*** herself, but I took the high road and calmly asked for the manager. And the manager was nice but obviously he didnt anything about it. I wrote to CVS, and I got the generic we apologize email. I still see her when I go into CVS, and she snarks at me. Then yesterday, I went to BestBuy and they were not busy, and I asked this associate a question, and he got an attitude with me like I have bothered him. WTFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!! I didnt loose my temper but asked for him manager, and he said he would take care of it. what does that even mean? I'm doing what I'm suppose to do as a customer experiencing bad customer service, but I dont get very far, and its happening far too often now. Most managers seem to defend their associates rude behavior by offering explanation for their shoddy work, that upsets me even more. Everytime I take the high road and dont put these associates in their place, it seems like they really dont understand how p'oed a customer really is, and they get away with giving bad careless service. Also, there are alot of people that are looking for jobs right now, I cant believe some jaded low class arrogant uncivilized rude people get to work at companies that offer no consequences. Its not like I can avoid all chain stores. Mind you I have worked in Customer Service for 10years myself. There is no way I can get away with ghetto or redneck ignorant bad behavior. What is going on? How do I defend myself from such bad rude customer service? If I raise hell, then of course managers keep defending their employees more. What do I do? All I know is what goes around comes around.
swedetouch- yeah ok, side with the corporations. If you really want to know what Im not telling is: I treat the other person with decency and I would like to be treated the same. It seems like alot to ask for these days. You never answered my question, I asked what do I do if I already am doing what I'm suppose to do as a customer experiencing bad customer service? Can you answer the question without phycho-analysing the situation? dont come to yahoo answers, and answer with a question with a question?

I totally agree with you. Most Customer Service places Sucks. It is getting worse and worse, people does not care about one another anymore. Keep on doing what you are doing and please be patient. Last night I was surprised and shocked when I received Excellent Customer Service: One of my friends called in a order at a Local Mexican Rest., I wanted to pick up the order, so I was freezing, it was 32 degrees at the window and they could not find my To Go order, they checked, still no order, I waited for 15 min., they took my order and they gave it to me free!! I wished them a Happy New Year!! So being nice and patient does win, plus you win in the end :)

The language you use in your details; "put these associates in their place", "ghetto", "low class", "redneck", "I'm not unattractive, and I dont shop at cheap ghetto places" could be a clue as to why your boyfriend has better experiences with people than you seem to experience. Your use of slang words like "conversate" makes you seem fairly young; so maybe the clerks you've encountered don't treat younger people with a lot of respect. While everyone deserves good service when shopping; it sure looks to me like you are quick to take offense. Since you've already complained about the behavior you object to then you only have two choices: continue to shop at these places and be just as polite as you can (show them the behavior you expect them to show you), or shop some place else (take your business elsewhere, it is not your job to manage the store's employees).

one time at Shari's (a Northwest chain similar to Denny's) I've asked my server politely that if she had a moment could she get me a refill on my lemonade and she just flat out yelled at me and copped an attitude at me and my face immediately turned red! I could swear I could hear fumes coming out of my ears, then when she gives me my lemonade she had the nerve to get in my face and tell me she don't like it when people are bothering her while she's helping other patrons but I've waited until when she was done, I just didn't want to be ignored cause she was walking by me not even paying attention to me, I was too embarrassed and upset to even report her to the management and even thought I've deserved getting yelled at for "bothering" her I later found out she'd gotten fired from Shari's and she also got her children taken away from her from the CPS and later turned out to be a crackhead

This seems like your fault. stop trying to get peoples fired. it's easy to tell there is more to this story then you are saying. I would like to hear their side to this. because how do we know you are not making this up to make these store chains look like the bad guys? when most of these stores has good Customer Service themselves.
