How can I connect my laptop to the internet using my Sprint/Nextel cellphone?

We have a USB cable and installed the driver but I can't seem to figure it out. It's my husband's phone and he has the Simply Everything plan, which includes unlimited data. We're not very tech savvy so we don't know exactly what to do.

You have to add phone as modem to your plan in order for it to work. Unfortunately, it's not an option with the Simply Everything plan. I know there's a Business Advantage plan that allows a $15.00 PAM add-on, but I can't remember any others off the top of my head. Call customer service and they can let you know what options you have. Dial 888-211-4727 or *2 from a Sprint phone.

Call customer service and make sure the phone is capable of teethering (that is the term for using your cell phone to get internet access for your pc/lap top) one thing to look out for is that they might restrict the amount of data and speed when you teether, ask spring customer service @ 611.

This is called tethering. It's not possible on a lot of phones. You might do a google search on tethering and the spcific model of your phone. Most phones can't do this without being hacked in some way, because the cell company doesn't want you doing it.

it certainly relies upon on your cellular telephone and cellular service service as to the thank you to apply it as a modem and if it is going to fee you for the air time because it would connect with cellular towers for the cyber web service. call your cellular telephone service and ask if the telephone is able to getting used for a modem, the thank you to set it up and the fee.
