How do I make a good grilled cheese sandwich?

I need answers fast please, I'm hungry. :)

    The best grilled cheese is with Texas Toast. But, if all you have is regular bread then fine.

    Ingredients needed:

    two pc bread

    stick of butter

    two slices of cheese

    grill or a non stick pan

    spatula

    Take the two pieces of cheese and put between the two slices of bread.

    Heat the grill to 250 or get the non stick pan nice and hot using the stove.

    Peel back the foil on the stick of butter-wayyyy back.

    When the pan is hot either hold the stick of butter into the pan until it starts melting OR cut off a nice healthy chunk and let it melt (1 inch thick).

    Take the stick of butter and spread butter on one side of the sandwich. You may have to keep heating up the end of the stick of butter so that it spreads smoothly. Be generous. Be sure to get butter around the edges of the bread.

    Throw the sandwich in the pan.

    Do NOT go watch t.v.!

    Take the spatula and press down on the entire sandwich.

    You should hear sizzling. If you don't, you need more butter in the pan.

    You should take the spatula and lift the sandwich after about 2 minutes to see what it looks like.

    Add butter to the pan if necessary.

    If the sandwich is just yellow, you may have to turn up the heat.

    The sandwich should be a nice golden brown.

    It should be a little bit crisp to the touch.

    Flip the sandwich and press down with the spatula.

    You may have to add butter.

    You can never have too much butter!

    The sandwich is done when both sides are golden brown. The cheese will be visibly melted and may even ooze out of the sides of the sandwich. If the cheese isn't melted completely, the sandwich isn't done. Pressing on the sandwich helps to melt the cheese.

    Turn off the stove.

    Cut sandwich in half.

    Cheese should ooze out of middle.

    Get your skillet hot (medium heat). While the skillet is heating, generously butter two slices of bread. Lay the buttered side of one slice down in the skillet and put one or two slices of your favorite cheese (or more if you like lots of cheese) on the slice of bread. A few thin slices of ham is also a nice addition. Then top with the other buttered slice of bread with the buttered side out. Fry just a minute or two. When the first side is a nice golden brown, turn the sandwich over and toast the other side until it is also golden brown. While you are cooking, lift the sandwich up and check on it periodically before turning it over. It doesn't take long to cook and will easily burn if you don't keep a close eye on it.

  • I make a sandwich with cheese and fresh tomatoes, throw a bunch of butter in a frying pan and toss the sandwich in. Here's my big trick - while it's cooking on the first side, I put a lid on the pan. This helps melt the cheese all the way. You don't want to do it once you've flipped the sandwich (add more butter for the second side) because it will make the top soggy and you don't want that!

Grilled Cheese 2 slices of thick white bread (or you need to use commonplace - thick is extra effective) Velveeta (the actual Velveeta cheese, no longer the save variety Velveeta cheese - quite makes a difference) Butter / Margarine Frying pan - forged iron is great or you need to use commonplace. Butter the two component of the bread. upload the Velveeta to it. close the bread up. make confident the frying pan is moist with butter and bubbly (so as that it quite is warm). place the sandwich interior the boiling butter. Fry the two section until the bread is the consistency / coloration which you like (re: whitish, beige, brown or black). i admire )mine dark brown - some human beings want incredibly much black. staring on the colour you %.     Grilled cheese the best way i like to do it.

    Get your favorite bread and your favorite cheese and if you want some bonus points get some ham lunch meat.

    1- take one peice of bread and butter one side of it. then place the buttered side down in a skillet over med heat.

    2. take you favotire cheese and meat if you using meat and then put them on bread in the pan.

    3. then take the other piece of bread and butter on side and put that buttered side up on the the stack of meat and cheese. (make sure if your using meat that there is cheese on each side of it ie bread, cheese, meat, cheese, bread)

    4. when the outside of the bread on the bottom is golden brown filp over until the otherside is golden brown too. cut and enjoy :D

    Butter one side of two pieces of bread-- either put a piece of american in between them (butter side faces outside) and fry it or you can make a pizza grilled cheese-- just put some tomato sauce down then some mozzerella and pepperoni

    Spread a little Mayo. on white bread and add two slices of American cheese. Melt one tablespoon of butter in a nonstick skillet and fry until first side is browned and crisp. Remove and melt another tablespoon of butter and then fry the other side until done. Cool on paper towel for a minute, cut diagonally and serve.

    Put butter on the outside of the bread, the cheese goes in between the two breads, and then grill it.

    Cheeses of choice between two slices of bread of choice. Hose the outside with garlic spray and cook for about 5 minutes on medium to med. high.
