What cell phone network has the best coverage for the Northern Virginia area?
I might be moving there this summer, and I would need to get a new phone with new coverage. What networks are the best in that area?

Northern Virginia is inundated with cell towers. Thus, just about every major carrier has "full" coverage.
The issues that arise is the dead spots. No matter what plan you will have, there will be the dead spots. Often, these are in buildings but you will find them in odd places. I'll be out with my friends and someone will have an issue and another will have 5 bars. For the most part, we are moving so nobody is left in a dead zone for very long.
The issues that we run into are when the system will get overloaded. Everyone will have issues with the internet on their phones during peak times. Sometimes the circuits get busy and you can't make calls. It happens with all the servers.
Currently, I have AT&T as my cell provider and we have issues with cell coverage at my house. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.
Good luck!

Not trying to be nitpicking, but do you mean "best" as in physical coverage? I think most would agree Verizon is the one with the most area of coverage. Your friends would be most knowledgable about the coverage of their network and give you the info you need to make a sensible choice.
