what is knish ? just bought one and need some information on the roots of it and what kind of cheese is used?

what is knish?i have one from the deli already made , it says on the label(Mendel Gourmet broccoli Knish)do I bake it in the oven for abit ?looks good and i like broccoli , just never had one before .thanks for your answers

    It is a great and very tasty food. Dough wrapped around a filling. It can be potato or any number of things.You obviously have a broccoli one. Enjoy.

    You can bake it to heat it up if you like.

    A knish is basically a mashed potato patty. It is a jewish food. It is very common in New York. Personally, I like the plain ones with mustard. I never had a broccoli one, but i suppose it would be good too.
