I have Microsoft Security Essentials on a Dell Inspiron 546 4GB Ram 640GB HDD AMD Athlon x2
I was wondering whether i would be better to get
- COMODO Internet Security
- Keep Microsoft Security Essentials
- Other
I am not willing to pay for it as i have kept my pc protected with an array of software over the past 4 years.
Plz help i am a bit confused

AVG Anti-virus is the best free protection I have found. I use it along with Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad aware and Advanced System Care. By using an array of software one has a much better chance of keeping their system running well rather than putting their trust in one product say, Norton to take care of all of it.

I think it would be Avira AntiVir Personal - Free Antivirus. That is what I use.
It is also the second-most downloaded piece of software on CNET's Download.com. Last week, it was downloaded 972,503 times. It has been downloaded over 72.4 million times. It also has a five star rating from the editors of CNET, & it received the CNET Editors' April 2009 choice award.

I use COMODO's firewall with Avast! Anti-virus & Lavasoft AdAware. I think AVG is good free Antivirus as well, and use it on one of my other computers on my home network.
If you are in the US and go to college or are in the military you can sometimes get free enterprise edition anti-virus software through them so you may want to look into that.
I have never liked Norton, as it has always seemed to take up too much ram for something that should be running in the background all the time.

hi, for my area, a competent custom protection suite as follows: kaspersky internet secrity - contain a firewall, anti-virus and different products. secret agent ware medical expert have a loose attempt first to verify in the event that they could be proved stable, and then verify to purchase or not , desire it helps, ultimate of success :D

I think the ESET Nod32 is the best antivirus. u can download it free here
