Is there a Cable to connect VGA computer port to an HVI or HDMI port on the HDTV?

Hi! How do you connect a VGA port to a HVI or HDMI slot on the HDTV? I have a Dell Computer that does not have a slot for a vidio card to connect a HDMI port. I don't know if that includes not having a slot for the HVI port? This is a Dell 1100 and a Dell 3000. Thank you for your comments and suggestions. Happy New Year!

    You need a VGA to HDMI converter box and appropriate HDMI and VGA cables for it.

    If the computer has DVI, you can get a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable.

    Of course, DVI and VGA do not carry audio, so you need to run that separately.
