Why do you write; why do you keep writing?

I Write

I

Found

Healing

Writing

So I write

I write

My fear away

And pains

I write

To sleep at night

I write

To get over the

Thoughts that

I

May

Not

See

The

Lights

Tomorrow

I write too

When I am not supposed to

When I have nothing to write

I write

When these thoughts

Uninvited come crawling

Into the privacy of my heart

I write

I write

To chase the demon

That at night takes me

Back

To the roads I know

I should not have taken

To the fruits

I should not have bitten

    My Friend~

You write, for the peace that comes over you

after what you need is out of your pen.

    You write for the calm

    you feel after wards.

    You write because you bring

    beauty to the world

    with your thoughts.

    deepee

Do not fear the shadows of the night

For the sun of the morning

will come to warm your face.

I would. No matter what. As of right now, I just write for myself. Writing is my escape from reality into the deep realms of my mind. Even if I decided to be published one day and was rejected by all or if I never sold a copy, I'd keep writing. Writing keeps me sane. That's pretty much the end of the story. If I didn't have writing, I'd probably end up locked away for the crazy things my brain comes up with! So yeah, I would never give up writing, no matter the cost :)

I write because He gave words in abundance to my heart

and placing them down who knows what can come

a word that I wrote may have touched you some way

in order to help you along the way

this is the reason I write what I do

maybe a giggle to share for you too

whatever the reaction from you to my words

they have helped in some way not known to me

but there is One who sees deep within

and causes my words to encourage you on...

    *I like what you did!*

I write to earn my daily bread.

I write to lubricate my brain

    While firing neurons still remain.

I'll write 'til I am dead.

I write to prove my sanity.

    I write for my sobriety

    And to escape society..

    And yet to find humanity.

I write in lines so short and terse

They cannot mask my many fears

That as the end of this verse nears

So will my mind... and that's my curse.

It has a remarkable cadence and is obviously from deep down. If I said I liked it, I would not be really honest because...I love it ! You, my friend, are a poet. Please come back and post more of your wonderful work. I will be honest with my opinions as I hope others to be honest with me. Cherish your talent...it is God given

You write because you're talented and have a gift. Keep writing, and sharing.

    Very nice writing this morning.

You have explained beautifully why you write. AS for me, well I just feel compelled, I just don't know where it comes from or why, I just have to do it.

    never stop...NEVER

    I wrote

    and tomorrow still came

with sharp teeth and biting truths

    grinning

    just in case

    I thought I was through
