Why does the global warming debate provoke so much emotion relative to other issues?

Special interests have invested massive amounts of $$$ into an enormous misinformation campaign.

Weasels control the media which means they control the realities of the sheeple.

Who would a massive carbon reduction hurt?

Corporations.

History has shown that a good chunk of cash invested into propaganda can ensure long periods of profit.

Short term loss for long term gain.

It is because people have bought into Al Gores rant about global warming.

He has put fear into there hearts and they have bought his lies.

The thing is if they Truly believed in evolution they would know that Global warming happens every couple of million years we are due.

I will say it again and again until someone listens it is not just cars it is Plants that dump toxic waste into our streams and air, Loggers that clear cut forrest without replanting.

People have become brain waste things that you once could talk about without pissing someone off is no more.

I can no long say I do not like the President because then I will be a racist.

Talking about the weather will start wars with some but that is because they have been brain washed into this idea of Global Warming and that the world will end in 2012.

And I'm addicted to debating global warming, when I know for a fact there are more important topics to debate. But this is a very fascinating topic. I've been called a denier, a Holocaust denier, an idiot... ETC. It seems if you don't believe in global warming you are a going to be called names. As it said in a video on You Tube named 'The Man-made Global Warming Hoax (Part 1)', there is an 'intolerence of any desenting voices'.

Science and politics make strange bedfellows.

This is an issue that people feel strongly about, and it causes a lot of emotion like any other issue, specially political ones, like Health Care for example!

The problem with Global Warming is that it is a scientific issue, but people from the Right wing made this a political issue, and they're putting politics over science, and that can cause a lot of controversy.

It's because Republicans rather put profits over the environment.
