Peace and blessings be upon you.

In Islam Jesus equal Mohammed equal all other prophets whether those who mentioned in the known holy books or those who we don't know about them.

In Islam Faith is represented in the faith in God, his angles, his books , his prophets (with no differentiation between of them), faith in the last day and the destiny whether good or bad.

(2:285): The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

Quran also stands upon the point of making Jesus God or son for the God and denied this to be a truth and consider it unaccepted polythism as the God is one and he is not a man or a rock.

But God said that Jesus is his miracle, his word and a soul from him.

and described in a chapter in quran carry the name (Mary) the story of mary's mother when wanted to give birth to a son and donate him for the service of god's home ,but she get a daughter Mary and also donates her to the service of the God's home and then how god inspired to her after that she will be pregnent, and the birth of jesus ,and his Miracles (talking in the cradling_ creation of bird from clay_ raising the dead_ medicine.....).

Also in quran you can find about jesus and his followers.

And lastly Quran stands again to deny jesus death, and clear that what christians think now is built upon supposition.

Quran says that God raised jesus alive to the sky .as the man who betraied jesus ,god make him in the image of jesus and he was crucified as if being jesus.

    Last point that Quran says:

(2:63): Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

May be there are people around us (non-muslims)but believed in god through different ways but they didn't know Islam or knew about it what isn't in it...(On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve).

Muslims do believe that Jesus, the son of Mary was actually the Messiah, the one promised to the Jews. Why do Christians insist on thinking that Muslims don't believe in the Messiah because we don't believe that he was crucified?

We believe that he was the Messiah, but did not die on the cross for our sins. Because that is saying that God was incapable of saving people from sin, which is a huge disrespect to God Himself, who is All-Mighty.

And dying for our sins? If we are saved just by believing in Christ's suffering and death, then why is there still a Judgment Day coming our way? Wouldn't that just defeat the purpose of having a Judgment Day?

It appears to us Muslims that the Injil (Gospels) of Jesus were fabricated to justify to the believers of Paul of Tarsus that Jesus is God. Jesus never taught that.

Numerous titles are given to Jesus in the Qur'an, such as al-Masī "the messiah; the anointed one" Jesus is also considered one of as many as 124,000 prophets. In order for one to be Messiah they would also have to be a prophet.

Muslims do not believe that Jesus was Crucified.

It is always a bad sign when people make statements as fact and then look to see if they are true. It says a lot about the integrity of the person. It tells us that the person is more interested in appearing correct than being correct. Such a person can be debated with but there is no point because they are not interested in truth but in their own glorification.

May God have mercy on those that choose this path at the final Judgment for this behavior is always systemic throughout their nature.

  • Good Question.

The Quran tells Muslims that Jesus Christ is a Great Prophet of God.

He was born of a virgin, but was never Crucified. Allah took him to heaven without dying, and is still alive uptill this day.

Muslims may call him "Messiah" .. but that doesnt make sense at all. .. Because Messiah is the Saviour. .. The Islam Jesus, did nothing to save them.

Although, the do Make their Prophet mohammed more Important that Jesus.

This is because Jesus' book (Gospel) was changed.

Therefore, im a Christian and i believe the Gospel was never changed.

    1. Jesus is the Messiah, al Massih, sent by God.

    2. Jesus was born miraculously through the Virgin Mary, who is also the purest women in all of creation.

    3. Jesus is a Messiah, Prophet, Messenger to us.

    4. We do not believe in the Trinity, or that Jesus=God. Because we believe he is a great Prophet like Abraham. But we would never say Abraham=God. Or Mohammad=God. Our prophets are held equal and we do not believe any of them can become God.

    5. We believe that although they plotted to kill Jesus, he was not crucified. He was saved by God. They made it look as if they had killed the Messiah, but they did not.

    6. Jesus will return to us on the Last Day, Day of Judgement, and defeat the anti-Christ.

    7. So Yes, Jesus is very important to Islam.

Yes Jesus is Messiah in Islam. Only a small percentage believe he isn't. But almost every muslims do think that Jesus is Messiah and a prophet of God. And we muslims don't believe Jesus died on the cross. Instead Jesus was saved by God the day before his crucifiction.

And they say: the Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a Son. Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing, whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall to ruins, that ye ascribe to the Beneficent a son, when it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should chose a son. There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. (Qur’an 19:88-93)

god/allah did not have a son, jesus (pbuh) was just another great prophet like those before him.

Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. (Qur’an 3:59).

Muslims believe Jesus is an important prophet of virgin birth. He is not, however, the son of God or the incarnation of God on earth. Considering the Muslim belief that Muhammad is the last and greatest prophet, Jesus is viewed as one of many prophets who helped promote monotheism. Muhammad is, however, the prophet chosen by God, through the Angel Gabriel, to deliver His word (the Qur'an).

    (Not bad for an atheist.)

One word Heresies. They rob Jesus only to make him low. Jesus does not belong to them.

As Muslims, we are required to believe and respect in all the prophets. These include Jesus, Moses and Abraham. The Quran, the Islamic holy book, also instructs Muslims to believe in the books revealed to every Prophet as well.

You'd be surprised to know just how important/loved/respected Jesus and the Virgin Mary are in Islam (Chapter 19 is dedicated to Virgin Mary in Quran).

    **************

    10 brief points Christians

should know about Muslims and Jesus

    1. Muslims love Jesus. We also love Abraham, Moses, and Noah, to name just a few other Prophets Muslims revere. May God's peace be upon all of these great messengers of God.

    2. Muslims also love the mother of Jesus, the Virgin Mary. We believe she was a pious and noble woman chosen over all of the women of the world.

    3. Muslims believe that Jesus was born miraculously of a virgin mother and no father. His birth is miraculous like the birth of Adam, the first human being, who was created with neither mother nor father.

    4. Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God. God is so powerful and self-sufficient that He does not need a son or any kind of partner.

    5. In Arabic Bible the name for God is Allah. Therefore all Arab Christian call God Allah as Muslim do as well.

    6. Jesus did not die on the cross. Rather, God saved him as his enemies were confused about him. Jesus was taken up by God to Heaven.

    7. Jesus is called Isa (pronounced Eesa) in Arabic.

    8. Jesus performed miracles by the Will of God, like healing the blind and those with leprosy.

    9. Jesus prayed to the same God as all Prophets and we pray to.

10.Jesus will return before the end of the world.

    ***********

The second coming of Jesus is one of our core beliefs as well as one of the signs that judgment day is near.

Islam, Christianity and Judaism have a lot of common ground...

Here's the english translation of Virgin Mary's chapter in the Quran

    http://www.islam101.com/quran/yusufAli/QURAN/19.ht...

    ======================

The Qur'an states Jesus is the Messiah, and Muslims believe Jesus is alive in Heaven and will return to Earth to defeat the Dajjal, or Antichrist.

“…O Mary! Behold, God gives you good news of a word from Him, who shall become known as the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary...” (Quran 3:45)

“…The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of God, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary...” (Quran 4:171)

A hadith in Abu Dawud (Sunnan Abu Dawud 37:4310) says:

"Narrated Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus. He will descend (to the earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium height, reddish hair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill the swine, and put an end to war (in another Tradition, there is the word Jizyah instead of Harb (war), meaning that he will abolish jizyah); God will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty and then he will die. The Muslims will pray behind him."
