I am planning to trip to see my mom in Brazil (where i was born) with my then 1 yr old. Help?

My question is if you ever been on a 15+ hour flight, how did u do with the baby? what did do? lol. he's already active now and i can't imagine him when he's 1! other thing, should i get one of those frames for his car seat or just travel with a light umbrella stroller? I haven't been to Brazil in almost 9 years and I honestly don't know if they even use car seats...We dont own a car down there, so we would prob be traveling in buses...anything that might enlighten this travel would be graeat! tips, concerns, suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Update:

EDIT: I'm also in the process of either making a sling/wrap or buying one. i think that's a good idea too.

Took my twins to Hawaii from east coast at that age, so I hear you.

Be prepared to be on duty the whole time entertaining him. He is old enough for books and toys. Many people give their kids gravol to make them sleepy (just passing that on). Hopefully you will have nice seat-neighbours who will play peek-a-boo with him. Make sure to ask when you get on board if they can give you a seat where there is extra room. They are usually really nice about that.

The small stroller will be better.

    Bon Voyage! Dom dia!

Source(s): PS I think gravol (canada) is dramamine in the US.

well for the airplane I suggest you give him something to make him sleepy unless your not comfortable with this, also bring earplugs to hand out to people on the plane
