Do some on here use the words "True Christian" to then judge who they believe is?

Many questions have the words "True Christian" in them and many replies do also. I have used those terms myself in replies to others but never thinking to judge the person that I answer a question for or looking to the others for me to decide who is a "True Christian" or not (other than knowing if they have faith at all yet still not taking it personally or judging)

To me for me to say the words True Christian in any form comes from a heart prospective of how you feel about your own faith in Christ and not how I feel about you or other people answering their truth or beliefs.

I know sometimes we have to take a stance against wrong but sometimes do some people come off way too judgmental towards those answering their questions as if testing us to judge us?

I'm not talking about the Atheist or other groups that just have no belief but the ones you can tell do have deep faith and convictions.

Then how can you know if you are a True Christian if you are one of the ones judging others?

When are any of us crossing the line of hypocrisy? And since none of us are perfect or ever will be can we recognize these habits or traits we have carried with us that we personally know is wrong towards God?

We should be much more worried of what God thinks of us than what others do. What is your thoughts on this topic?

Thanks to all that answer

THE DEVIL DECEIVES MANY * BELIEVERS AND NON BELIEVERS*

PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD AND PRAY TO HIM. DONT WORRY ABOUT ANYONE ELSE AND DONT WORRY ABOUT ANYONE'S OPINIONS... AFTER ALL DO THEY REALLY MATTER?

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART; AND LEAN NOT UNTO THINE OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL THE WAYS ACKLOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT THEY PATHS. PROVERBS 3:5-6

FOR I THE LORD WHY GOD WILL HOLD THY RIGHT HAND, SAYING UNTO THEE, FEAR NOT; I WILL HELP THEE. ISAIAH 41:13

Satan does all he can to keep an unsaved person deceived and in darkness. As it is written, SATAN, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD-Rev 12:9. There is a battle between truth and error going on inside of each person. That battle is for a person’s soul. The devil persuades many in their thoughts that evolution is how we came into existence. The adversary puts in the minds of others that the Bible is not God’s Word but just a book written by men. He makes some believe that it is too difficult to understand. And if you do believe the Bible is the perfect Word of God, Satan will do everything possible to stop you from studying it, by using many distractions and other devices. If you study the Bible, Satan will try to cause you to believe certain passages do not mean exactly what they say. If you do believe God’s Word, he will try to choke the Word that is in you, by using the lusts of this world, the cares of this life, the pleasures of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and many other devices. Satan is a master at mixing the truth with deception in your mind and causing confusion.

Satan persuades many people that there is no heaven, hell, judgment, or God. He causes many to think that he does not even exist, or that, if he does exist, he is nothing more than a little red cartoon character with horns and a pitchfork, who is mischievous but not dangerous. He causes some people to be bitter toward God. He causes many others to be deceived on how to be saved. He blinds their eyes.

There are many people that look like they are led of God, but they are not. They themselves think they are being led of God and deceive many. Many people go to churches that have blind leaders of the blind. These blind clergy OUTWARDLY APPEAR RIGHTEOUS "UNTO MEN"-Mt 23:28. They APPEAR BEAUTIFUL OUTWARD, BUT ARE WITHIN FULL OF DEAD MEN’S BONES-Mt 23:27. They ARE AS GRAVES WHICH APPEAR NOT, AND THE MEN THAT WALK OVER THEM (people that go to their churches) ARE NOT AWARE OF THEM (they are not aware these are blind leaders)-Lk 11:44. It never occurs to most people that their ordained minister is, himself, on the way to hell. Paul told us very clearly, MANY...CORRUPT THE WORD OF GOD-2 Cor 2:17. These blind clergy combine God’s Word with deception and traditions. Multitudes of people attend these dead, ceremonial, entertainment, people-pleasing churches and are confident they will be in heaven when they die. It just never occurs to most people that their church is leading them to hell. They put their faith in their church or denomination and its half-truth doctrines. Only after they die, do these realize they were deceived and made an eternal mistake.

Satan puts in many people’s minds that he can never deceive them; therefore, they are deceived already and let their guard down—as an army that is caught by surprise and is defenseless when the attack comes. Not only does Satan speak to you in your thoughts, but he speaks to you through many people, and you may never know it. People can be extremely gullible and lack knowledge in the ways and devices of the devil. Satan puts in people’s mind that they never sin, and many believe this, even though the Bible says, ALL HAVE SINNED, AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD-Ro 3:23. Satan has created numerous false religions throughout the world that have led billions of people to hell. Others may go to good, Bible-teaching churches, yet they are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Many of them believe they are saved, but the light that is in them is really darkness, and the darkness has blinded their eyes. They know not where they are going. There is a battle going on for their soul, but most of them will never understand this until it is too late.

Again the Bible warns us that many people perish and only a few will enter heaven. It is written: Mt 7:13-14-ENTER YE IN AT THE STRAIT GATE: FOR WIDE IS THE GATE, AND BROAD IS THE WAY, THAT LEADETH TO DESTRUCTION, AND MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT. Many people will go to destruction or perish to hell. BECAUSE STRAIT IS THE GATE, AND NARROW IS THE WAY, WHICH LEADETH UNTO LIFE, AND FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT. Few people will find the true way to salvation. Few people will enter the kingdom of heaven.

Source(s): KJV BIBLE AND REMEMBER: Satan makes you believe that the Bible says things it does not, and make you believe it does not say what it really does. Satan twists God’s Word-ref Mt 4:3-10.

    *** w00 6/1 pp. 6-7 The Changing Face of “Christianity”—Acceptable to God? ***

    Recasting God

Christ and his disciples taught that there is only “one God the Father,” distinguished by his personal name, Jehovah, which appears some 7,000 times in early Bible manuscripts. (1 Corinthians 8:6; Psalm 83:18) Jesus was created by God; he is “the firstborn of every creature,” says the Catholic Douay Version of the Bible at Colossians 1:15. Thus, as a created being, Jesus frankly stated: “The Father is greater than I am.”—John 14:28.

But by the third century, certain influential clerics, enamored of the trinitarian teaching of pagan Greek philosopher Plato, began recasting God to fit the Trinitarian formula. In the following centuries, this doctrine unscripturally elevated Jesus to equality with Jehovah and made God’s holy spirit, or active force, into a person.

Concerning the church’s adoption of the pagan concept of the Trinity, the New Catholic Encyclopedia says: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”

Similarly, The Encyclopedia Americana says: “Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.” The Oxford Companion to the Bible calls the Trinity one of a number of “later creedal formulations.” Yet, the Trinity was not the only pagan concept assimilated into the church.

Speaking to the Jewish religious leaders of his day, Jesus said that their worship was ‘in vain because they taught commands of men as doctrines.’ (Matthew 15:9) Those clerics did the very same thing to Jehovah’s Law through Moses that the clergy of Christendom did, and still do, to Christ’s teaching—they splashed the “paint” of tradition over divine truth. But Jesus stripped away all falsehoods for the benefit of honesthearted people. (Mark 7:7-13) Jesus spoke the truth, whether it was popular or not. God’s Word was always his authority.—John 17:17.

What a contrast Jesus presents to most professed Christians! Indeed, the Bible predicted: “People will be avid for the latest novelty and collect . . . teachers according to their own tastes; and then, instead of listening to the truth, they will turn to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:3, 4, The Jerusalem Bible) These “myths,” of which we have considered a few, are spiritually destructive, whereas the truth of God’s Word builds up, and it leads to everlasting life. This is the truth that Jehovah’s Witnesses encourage you to examine.—John 4:24; 8:32; 17:3.

Anyone can claim to be anything and unless there is a clear Definition of something by which to Judge all claims by, then we would have to believe whoever and whatever anyone says.

But with an accepted Standard of what is or is not something, we can and should judge every claim to belong to such group or grouping.

The same stands true in Christianity. There are many groups or even individuals who claim to be Christians, who just are not true Christians, according to something as basic as the Apostle's Creed.

While it is true we should not be judgmental we were told to Judge ourselves and to beware of wolves in Sheep's clothing. So some Judging is necessary and even beneficial, but not by or with a judgmental attitude.

Christians are not prohibited from judging. A lot of people think it is wrong to judge, but that is because their understanding is poor.

What the bible is really saying is that if you ar doing wrong, don't bother with telling someone else that what he is doing is wrong. But it is perfectly allowed to correct a brother or sister if his/her action goes against God's will, and you are also doing the same for yourself.

Yes everything in the Bible is true. The word "Bible" does not have to be in the Bible. The word Bible really just stands for its importance. Like there are many Bibles out there. The "Dating Bible", The "Handymans Bible", and all of these "How To's" Bibles.

Well, I use the term real Christian, but I refer to them as the ones who aren't fanatics, don't screw up God's name, dont make the rest of us look bad, and have valid responses other than FREE GIFT EVERYBODY JOIN THE FUN which btw dont help convert ppl. Every time i read that its like, "great, now you made another atheist"

No, it's about discernment. If a Christian expresses this to another person, that person may mend their ways. It isn't judging, or shouldn't be, it is speaking the truth and defending it.

god tells us to judge people to know if they are of god or not

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

god gives us commands to know if we love god or not

judging to condemn is what god warned us not to do.

treating people as worthless and of no good.

we can judge to know who is a false person claiming to know and follow god and does not.

we know if any person does what this verse says not to do. we know they do not know god and do not have eternal life.

1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

any one who hates his brother is a murderer. a murderer does not have eternal life

no one who hates his brother has eternal life and neither does a murderer

God already told us what he thinks of us, which does not change no matter what we do. What is in our control and is important is what we think of God and that is reflected in our lives behaviors choices etc
