I have a Compaq Presario CQ70 laptop, can anyone advise me on how to clean it?

I've had this laptop about a year now, it's spent a lot of time on a bed which means the air-intakes are sucking air up from through my matress, and hence there might be a lot of crap in there. Does anyone know the best way of cleaning it up? 
I've never cleaned it before, so advice on giving it a proper spring clean inside, and out (i.e. internal circuit boards/fans and under the keys o the keyboard) would be gratefully appreciated. I don't really mind about voiding any warranties, putting the laptop at risk, so please don't suggest I take it to a professional, but if you do offer risky advice, please state that somewhere in your response :). 
Also links to maintenance manuals or anything would be cool too..I would like to know how to safely get at the innards and know how to get it all back together when I've finished.

I would use a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol to clean the vents and keyboard and buy a can of compress air to blow everything out.  I wouldn't necessarily take it a part but maybe remove the battery and make sure the connections are clean as well.

ok. you decide on gaming and multitasking. indexed under are a pair of concepts. Having a sixty 4-bit AMD could be not ordinary. Will the assets you opt to apply run in 32-bit emulation? Do you have any specific gadgets (joystick, paddles) and are there sixty 4 bit drivers attainable? for my area i could bypass the Intel selection - much less compatibility matters. verify out different fashions and types - lots of the factors come from the comparable factories. attempt to stay with call manufacturers in computing device ACER, ASUS, HP/Compaq (now the comparable corporation) MSI etc. once you're buying - verify the guaranty - is it lower back to purchase or courier it to a Sydney workplace? memory ..in case you don't get the optimal - make certain they have not crammed each and all of the slots. i.e 2G memory as 2x1G sticks. make certain the hard tension is SATA II - and get a extreme RPM tension. as quickly as you have looked at this you may have the skill to %.

I don't advise taking the laptop apart. I would do the following. Get a nice soft brush on the end of your vacuum cleaner and suck the dust out from all angles, make sure you do the key board thoroughly. Then clean the device externally with some fragrance free clean up wipes.
