What was European life like in the 14rth, 15th and 16th centuries>?

The quotation is: "Nasty, brutish, and short."

Average life expectancy was in the 'teens'.

Medical knowledge was limited, (and most of that was wrong).

Diet, even for the wealthy, was severely limited.

Most water supplies were contaminated.

That's 300 years. Lots of things changed.

I mean. How much do we have in common with people from the 1710s, in our lifestyles?
