How do you keep cats out of your indoor box garden?

The cats want to use the kids' box garden for a litter box. Is there a way to keep the cats out besides putting sticks in the soil? We don't have a place to put the box where the cats can't get to it.

Not just any pepper-use cayenne pepper. They will only do it once in the garden, then they always clean their selves after wards and won't do it again. You'll have to repeat after it rains.

I also heard that cats don't like the smell of orange so you could spray orange clean on furniture to prevent sharpening claws. I don't know if it would work in gardens.

you could try putting pepper in it the pepper wont hurt the plants but it will be unpleasant for the cats to smell.
