Antonio Margarito's return to boxing?

Boxing has always been a refuge for criminals and Margarito isn't the first felon to lace up the gloves, odds are he won't be the last. I can't see how cheating will deter his success, boxing has always been a sewer, Antonio's stunt with the hand wraps appears to be forgiven. The smell of $$$ will always over power the stench of criminality, especially in the boxing business.

He will definitely be under close scrutiny and if there is no way that an opponent would leave anything to chance again pertaining to his preparation specifically his hand wraps. He still is a big name in the sport and has had an extremely good record with only two recent losses of any significance and those were to elite boxers in Paul Williams and Shane Mosely. A win over Margarito will still launch another boxer into the top 10 in the division so I think that he will have no problems finding fighters willing to fight him. The only question will be whether or not he will still be able to perform at the high level he has throughout his career. If the wraps were an issue throughout his whole career and he lacks the power attributed to him he will be a totally different fighter without them but I believe he does have the power and still believe he will be a contender, hopefully a little wiser and humbler after the whole wraps issue. His style has always been entertaining to watch I just hope that it has been legit and the mistakes he made preparing for the Mosely fight wereisolated to that fight although many believethat the Cotto fight was tainted as well. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and a court of law believes you are innocent until proven guilty. His future performance should attest to his credibility. If he remains clean and uncontroversial from here on out his career has no limits but the slightestcontroversy at this point will most definitely ban him for life.

Margacheatto needs to be boooed in every arena he walks in ..If he ever fights a puerto rican it should be in Madison square garden so he can get the booooos he deserves he is a loser a cheat and he is illegally in this country..

A Miguel Cotto fight makes a lot of sense in a lot of ways after the brutal (and now controversial) beating Cotto took at the hands of Margarito, the fight directly proceeding the Mosley fight where Margo got busted. Problem is that Cotto just took another beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao and I don’t think Cotto is looking for another big time fight with another big time puncher at this time. That, and the fact that Cotto has stated multiple times that he will “not allow Antonio Margarito to make any more money off of my name”. Right on Miguel.

he should have went to jail like luis resto did, i'm sure that the hand wrapper is still on the payroll for taking the the fall.after a long bout those hand wrap are dripping in sweat,they just peel and fall off.i work in construction and know what happens when you allow plaster to stay without rinsing with lots of water,it gets cake up.l figured that they found plaster in the mosley fight,yet cotto beat mosley so there's no way he didn't have plaster of paris in his wraps for the cotto fight.margarito knewwwww.i just can't see some wrapper taking it upon himself to put plaster in the wraps.margarito unfortunately still has a career because the boy can fight and he has a big fanbase

Box - as much as I hate Margarito, he's not in this country illegaly. He's actually a US citizen born in LA (or another city in southern California). What amazes me is that he doesn't speak english but he was born here.

Margarito might have an even better career now. His popularity skyrocketed after the scandal and fans now want to see him pay for his wrong doing and others still root for him.

Well, it will be tough for Margo to be taken seriously again. He needs to hire a great trainer, not a good one, a great one. He knows that Capetillo totally screwed him and that he needs to be guided in the right direction. He should get a few tune-ups under his belt before mixing it up with the elite. That is if he still can without the...you know.

I think he should be banned for life, he knew what was happening, I think criminal charges should also be filled against him as he could have maimed someone. I just hope if he comes back he gets a good whooping.
