There is an idea that the native women of today face many issues stemming from the circumstances and events of the colonial history and the imposition of a patriarchal system on the formerly egalitarian indigenous societies. This is too broad of a subject for me to write about without googling a lot myself. Here's a link you may want to see --

Your first mistake is trying to make a victim out of Aboriginal women more than you are Aboriginal people. You're gonna have mixed results.

Example: You could argue that Aboriginal women were entitled to a lot more when colonisation occurred (Maybe not immediately tho), and some Aboriginal women may agree with that statement. But you could also argue that colonisation patronised those women by trying to tell them whats best for them. In much the same way as how we think castrating animals is best for them. But if you were to ask the animals how they feel about it. The initial response would most likely be "Umm, no thank you, but by all means castrate yourself if you think that will help"

Ultimately tho, i agree with the first answer......Do your own bloody course work.

Have you tried google? What ever happened to the days were students did their own research?
