Why would a healthy 13-yr.old female cat feel bony seemingly overnight when petted?
She's still eating and drinking, bowel movements and urination are okay, but doesn't want to play anymore and has gotten very skinny. Can anyone help me on this, please?

Get a blood panel done. Sounds like the beginnings of something, maybe hyperthyroidism or kidney issue. Both show marked weightloss right off the bat. Get her levels checked and rule that out. If she turns out to be healthy,....change the cat food. Cats can get finicky over nothing. Hope she's just being finicky!!!

PLEASE get this cat in fast! Sudden dramatic weight loss is a sign of kidney or thyroid issues, or diabetes. ALL three are treatable if you catch it when it's still able to be treated. A checkup is all it takes. Since the loss is this dramatic, don't wait till next week, get the cat in today or tomorrow.
