At what age is a child able to learn to play Checkers?

Many young children can play checkers, but I still believe that your granddaughter is pretty smart if she can beat someone the first day after learning.

Depends on the child when they can learn to play. It's a fairly simple game though. Just by saying that she beat Grandpa on the next day doesn't mean she's advanced for her age. That doesn't give us enough information to tell whether she is just naturally good at checkers or is a child prodigy. Just by this information, I just think she is really good at checkers. Keep an eye on her, maybe she will show signs of being a genius. Who knows maybe one day soon she will be able to play Mozart's or Beethoven's music.

Alot of people underestimate what a child can do. I bet she could play chess if someone would take the time to sit down with her and teach her how to play. Even if she can't beat grandpa day one, challenging young minds is so important. And the body. Allow the child to grow and learn.
