Why do Christians defend Uganda gays against persecution?

thats not quite true, the new ugandan laws propose the execution of both straight AND gay people who 1) rape children and 2) spread HIV knowingly. its not just about being gay, its a bout child rape and purposely spreading HIV. I support those laws and am not protesting, I think they are progressive and should be adopted the world over.

From reading your question & details I get the impression that you are in favor of what Uganda is proposing doing to Gay men.

That you would prefer that "Christians" not defend or protect these men.

That you yourself are not Christian

That you are ignorant of the dictates of the many "Christian" Faiths out there & their knowledge of HIV transmission.

That you have a strong prejudice against Gay men & believe the falsehood that they "rape' & infect minors.

That you do not know the facts & knowledge about the transmission of the HIV virus & in what segment of the population it is spreading the fastest. (it is in the heterosexual community among married women & young girls who are rape by their husbands & men).

That you have no concept of How Uganda really views HIV/AIDS. (the govt. does not believe it is a virus & they refuse to provide the medications that can help manage & prolong the lives of those who are infected).

I strongly suggest that since you have access to a computer & the internet you look up the real facts about HIV/AIDS, the transmission & in what segments of the world community it is spreading, especially in Uganda.

That you get the facts about the real who is & does the raping of the minors not only in Uganda but world wide. You will be surprised by the facts.

That you research the different Christian faiths & their beliefs & why they would be against KILLING people.

In other parts of the world the death penalty is not used for such things. Doesn't that seem too harsh?

What about straight people who rape minors and infect them with HIV? Are they suject to the dealth penalty too? Straight people have HIV and straight people have sex with minors. If Uganda treats straight people who do the same thing different, then is that fair?

probably because even though alot of christian people do not agree with homosexuality, they dont think they should die for it. sure some do...i mean,...my dad really freaked out and chased me out of the house when i came out....but most christians dont think gay people should die for being gay.

I don't know why all rapist around the world are not taken out and shot . I have no idea what they are thinking I love my God but this is just wrong >

It's probably Catholics, and they are against the death penalty for anyone.

The "christians" protestant and baptist evangleicals are doing everything they can to stoke the hate towards gays there.

The whole continent should just be glassed. Full of civil warring tribes and corrupt government and suffering people.
