A question for motor racing fans re the Grand Prix?
I know absolutely nothing about motor sports. As part of my job I need the dates of all the Grand Prix races worldwide. I've got dates on the official F1 website but don't know if they're all Grand Prix races or if they include some others - for example are the Formula 1 Gran Premio de Espana and the Formula 1 Grosser Preis Santander von Deutschland actually Grand Prix? Or are they other F1 races?
Your expertise would be appreciated!

Yes, all the dates on the Formula One site are all the races.
Formula 1 Gran Premio de Espana is basically Formula 1 Grand Prix of Spain
Formula 1 Grosser Preis Santander von Deutschland is Formula 1 Grand Prix of Germany, sponsored by Santander so their name in included.
Some names like those are written in the language of where the GP is held.

Sometimes a City or sponsor will call their race a Gran Prix even though it's not a Formula One race for example it happened here in Toronto when the IRL ( Indy ) cars race. I always hate it when I see this happen but I guess they do it to attract the not so informed crowds who actually think they will be attending a F1 race. Thankfully Honda has come on as the major sponsor this year and it going to be called an Indy race again.

Yes they will be F1 races "grand prix" if I remember rightly means a series of races i.e a season rather than a one off race, F1 is a class of car, usually there will be other classes racing over the same weekend GP2 Formula Renault etc .

Hi.. I believe the races you've mentioned are the Spanish and German grand prix. They are grand prix races, part of formula 1..
The calendar lists grand prix races- formula 1 only. I think you meant this one this one.

i'm hoping you have the torque to decrease back up those ralley stripes, through fact in any different case the sturdy point paint could no longer be justified. in case you basically would desire to place ralley stripes on a late-type, extreme-production significant different and young ones vehicle, get white to circulate consisting of your crimson paint. you would be respecting custom--and silver could conflict, in any case. :) And bear in mind, it incredibly is purely my opinion. it incredibly is what you like that counts.

Grand Prix = race
So yes, they are all Grand Prix.
They are all correct.

Gran Premio de Espana, Grosser Preis Santander von Deutschland are the race titles. They actually mean exactly the same: Grand Premio = Grand Prix, Grosser Preis = Grand Prix. Every race has it's own race title and lot of countries name them in their own languages. If you say Spanish Grand Prix it's basically saying where it is and which grand prix it is but not the entire race title. Most people just say Spanish or German Grand Prix and that's how most people- especially if they are English speaking - will know what you mean. However the formal way is using the Race Title.
